Do the cream and nail polish open up?

Yes! There are little brushes for the nail polish, eye shadow and blush. Very pleased with product.

Why does the perfume open? Real perfume u arent supposed to use like that

Actually, real perfume is in bottles with tops allowing you to dab a bit here and there. Perfume sprays have alcohol in them to help them evaporate. This set is wonderful for the play aspect, especially since I mostly wear oils but my special perfume has the same type top. My LO has a play set that matches her mother.

Is the make up "real"? I want my daughter to pretend like she is putting on make up without makeup actually touching her skin.

The makeup can not be put on. The makeup consists of painted swatches on the wood pieces, decorative. The brushes included in the various compacts etc. can be used and my daughter has fun "putting on makeup."
