A super album, Louisiana Red is going to be missed. He lost his mother at birth, his father was murdered and he spent a few years in an orphanage before his grandmother obtained custody and gave him the opportunity to express himself through music. I highly recommend any album by Louisiana Red, you will not be disappointed.

Bringing the blues into the future so more can feel the blues of yesterday

I just got done listening to the new Louisiana Red release. It's really entertaining. It has a real authentic sound and you wanna keep looking at it and wondering when it was cut. I've played it 3 times already this morning and I can say I really think it's a cool cd cut in the traditions of Mud, Jr Wells, and many of the original "delta born city musicians". This one is a real keeper!

I great electric blues player that should be heard!

The CD sounds absolutely awful in terms of audio recording quality. Somehow it sounded OK hearing the MP3 samples here. I can't explain the difference unless someone remastered it for the purpose of putting it online. I'm not commenting on the actual performance- the fact is its so low fi it detracts from the performance and after 20 minutes I gave up. Buy at your own peril. You've been warned
