Looks like a quality product.
It's hard plastic. Would have liked it to be rubber flexible.

Takes the abuse
Nice high quality backer. Very rigid with just a touch of give. When getting extremely aggressive for a prolonged period of time the pad will melt a little but then again so will the grinder. lol. I keep these on hand along with their discs because they perform so well and I am yet to find a better value from anyone else.

Fragile.
Works well but can break if dropped. Would like a polycarbonate like version better.

They are hard plastic and will not flex. They refused to send me a refund label.
They refused to send me a return label to return them. They wanted me to take it to the nearest UPS store which is 1 1/2 hour drive away. My drop off point is the local Library. It is just a pick up spot and they don't have a scanner to scan the return code for a label. These hard shell backing pads are very dangerous and will come apart and pieces fly all over and probably hurt the operator. I would give them a minus 4 if I could. I used to be a licenses OSHA instructor and I would Red Tag these in a instance.

wrench fit
It came with a new threaded nut to hold the plate on the grinder, however the hole spacing is different on the new nut to tighten it on the grinder. My old threaded nut was not able to fit due to the depth of the new backing plate so I used a needle nose plier to tighten the new one.
