Pretty horrible but huge potential
The top is way to huge so I chopped it off, bottom hit my throat so trimmed it. had a cracked fibremetal hood that had outlaw leather on it so I took the bottom bib and threw it on top, factory headgear is pretty horrible so I threw Jackson 370 head gear in it. Now it's the best hood I've ever owned, real light, flip front is sturdy enough, lens retention is pretty good and Ive been. Without modification I would not recommend this hood, but you could probably just get away with trimming the bottom and rolling with it

Good for beginners
I am taking a welding class and didn't want to buy a bunch of expensive equipment. This fit the criteria. However, now that I am progressing further I found this wasn't adequate for long-term use. It IS cheap and inexpensive but adequate for a beginner. It is hard to tighten the thumbscrews tight enough to keep the visor up (most inexpensive helmets are similar). The viewing lens is the standard size which prevents my bifocals from working. But I knew none of this until I started this training. Others in the class who have welded for many years have LCD lens helmets. I tried some of those and liked them much better since you turn a knob to lighten or darken the lens instead of having different shades of glass to interchange depending on the welding requirements. This will get you by and you won't be out a lot if you decide welding isn't for you.

Pleased
Not much to say other than it does the job. Plenty of adjustability to make a good fit. I don't get some of these reviews, it is a budget helmet so I don't know what they expected. If you want a helmet that does the job without breaking the bank it does the job.
