I love that this house provides homes to 3 bird families. The house itself is adorable and I like the little doors on the back so it can cleaned if need be. There were some small gaps at the rooftop that I needed to correct so it’d be more water/ weatherproof for the aviary families, but honestly it was a pure joy to correct this little problem! I bought weather proof paint, and shingles and added my own personal touches to make this house a HOME! Even bought a doll house Picket fence to add to the “curb appeal” and attached low enough it wouldn’t block the perches, then cut out spots in the back for the doors to open. It was “art therapy” for me and is now a “home” for the birds. I ended up using thick, covered frame wire tho, instead of the included rope, to prevent it from swinging too much in wind. Otherwise it was really fun to personalize!

Good quality and sturdy material. The bottom is solid do easily placed on our pole. I painted it and it came out great. Excellent size and workmanship for the price. No birds yet but we are hoping once the new construction around us ends we shall have a bird family or two!

Very pretty but not well made. Feels like very cheap wood. It was not stained and very rough texture. Not happy with this purchase. Not worth the cost. I will paint it and cover it with clear sealant to protect it. Not a well made product.

Nice well built medium size birdhouse. One of the nicer looking bird houses I’ve seen or have owned. Can’t decide whether to paint it or just stain it. Easily mounted to my bird feeding pole.

Read all the negative comments, took some mental notes and expected the worst. Opened the box and was pleasantly surprised! Birdhouse is made of 3/8" thick of what smells like cedar - workmanship is fine. It appears that the floorspace is 3 3/16" square, which may be OK for small birds - don't expect cardinals nesting there. Referring to my mental notes, I will reinforce the floor and top roof with finely drilled holes and stainless steel screws. I also read that staining cedar will prevent it from turning gray. The reinforcing screws and stain should prevent any major cracks and leaks. Will keep an eye on things and repeat as needed. I have to admit that I've spent more than $20 on things that turned out to be almost worthless. This birdhouse is a DEAL in my opinion. Get yourself one! Holes appear to be 1 5/8" diameter.
