Great sound quality, not so great build quality
Purchased these to replace my EPIC cable for my Westone 4R's. The sound quality is on par with the EPIC cable but I much prefer the build quality of the EPIC cable. Within a month, the cable began to unravel near the 3.5mm audio jack. I am concerned about the longevity of this product and I am not confident that it will last me a full year at this point. For the price though I think its a decent back-up cable but I couldn't recommend this to someone who is looking for durability in their cables. At half the cost of the EPIC cable you certainly get what you pay for.

Bought it and it works great but I don't need it
Nice cable and works with my Jerry Harvey customs, but turned out I didn't really need it. So probably will sell it on ebay. But it is a very good value, which is typical of FiiO.

low quality
The cable worked fine for about 2 weeks. A great deal of static developed in the left ear and I had to return the product as it sounds like it was about to go out.

Do Not Buy! Cable break within 4 weeks.
In the first few weeks of using this cable, it was great. It seemed sturdy and the sound is great. However, by the fourth week of use, the connection of the cable near the 3.5mm jack starts to fall apart. Since the cable itself is made up of many smaller wires, at least 3 of the smaller wires have break at this point. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this product. Please do not buy this!! I've made the stupid mistake of purchasing two at once, and both of them have started to fall apart. Update: Second pair of cable break apart again!! Please look for other cable.

This will be a fantastic cost-effective backup cable. Great sound.
Just got this as my name brand backup wires failed too quickly this time. I ordered a high quality cable but I wanted to have a backup on hand for the next time a have a cable failure. It's not like you can just buy these things locally. As far as audio quality, these are perfectly fine. Most wont notice anything different. Maybe ever so slightly brighter than the old cables. Audiophile concern only. They sound great to me. I don't prefer the appearance, but there isn't anything wrong with them. Durability seems okay, at least as good as others in the price range. You get what you pay for and this is about as low as I have seen. For a cable that only gets pulled out when my good one fails, this thing is perfect and I can rest easy knowing i have a solid backup.

Better consider the original cable
The original EPIC cable was perfect and had served me for 1 year until one of the channels stopped working. Although I had some dreams that it would last forever it still did survive all other cables for at least half a year. I replaced it with with the FiiO cable, which is an OK item, but is in no way comparable to the original EPIC cable. Pros: - 2 times cheaper than the original cable. - 3,5mm jack has a straight metal body which creates the illusion that the cable is ready for a heavy use Cons: - The cable is THICKER. FiiO claims it consists of 11 pieces tied together. What for, might I ask. Probably, to live a long life and serve you forever...being absolutely uncomfortable to wear. Unlike the original EPIC cable, this one just feels wrong over your ears. You feel it constantly and annoyingly. One of the earpods constantly slides off my ear - the thing that never happened with the original cable. - It is 7 cm (2,75 inches) shorter. Now I don't know the guy who decided: lets make it 2,75 inches shorter, but this guy is definitevely wrong!! 50'' is just so perfect in all situations. Now in winter, when I have my mp3player in the pocket of a parka with the cable being underneath it...it's just too short to comfortably operate the player and it constantly gets me annoyed. Arrgrh! Verdict: the creators of this cable were thinking, maybe, of how to create the most durable cable on earth - but not of the user experience which is pretty poor with this cable. Instead of buying 2 FiiO cables I should have definitevely bought 1 original EPIC cable, even though it is limited to 1 year of use in my hands.

I just got one about two weeks ago and so far it seems to be very good sound Quality
I see some of you have had problems with this cord. I just got one about two weeks ago and so far it seems to be very good sound Quality. I would really like to know what it's made out of? if it's a fine copper silver plated Cord it worth the money cuz if you look at any other replacement headphone cords That are fine copper silver coated they're way more money! This cord sounds great I do not workout with it nor do I workout with my westone. But I do workout with a pair of the shure se215 and no problem Whatsoever I sweat them do death! Nice sounding cord but I really can't say how durable It is.

Bad construction. Great Sound.
The sound is great, but the ear tightening attachment broke in one hour. I need to tape it together.

This cable is designed very nicely. The plug is fully metal and very well built. Soundwise it works quite well. My only complaint is that the cable is extremely stiff. It is hard and not flexible, retaining bends and such. This also causes an excess of cable noise and microphonics, making walking around or moving with this cable nearly impossible if you hope to hear your music.

I have a pair of Westone 4r in-ears and the cable was wearing our a bit. Got these as a replacement and they are fine. Would be better it there were an angled connector option and even a version with a built-in mic for phone calls, but overall good stuff. UPDATE: Well, we hit July and one of the cables split at the 3.5mm jack connector. The cable still worked as there are 8 cables, 2 pairs of 2 to each earpiece, but it was only going to be a matter of time until they failed further. Amazon were excellent, as usual, and as a marketplace seller item but fulfilled by them they gave me a full refund. I ordered another identical cable from a different (still fulfilled by Amazon) reseller but this one developed a fault straight out of the envelope when one of the earphone connectors disintegrated upon insertion into the earpiece. I also returned this and ended up buying a completely different cable (for "JH Audio" headphones) from a non-Amazon supplier which feels far more professional but it's early days there. If nothing else, lucky my expensive headphones have removable cables that gives me this level of (expensive) choice!

Decent enough build and looks, but the microphonics are shocking.
