Battery Life seems endless!
Ive had a number of these batteries. I have 4 headlamps that use the core battery. My wife and I use them daily. I walk our dogs in evening, work on things in the garage, my wife uses them daily to make jewelry. The headlamps are super helpful. I'm shocked how long these batteries last. We've been using these headlamps for years. DAILY. They have been recharged 1000s of times. They still work like new. Its outstanding. Well done Petzl!

Get an extra battery pack for Petzel headlamp
These worked great with Petzl headlamps during the recent ice storm when we were without power for 11 days. Having an extra battery pack allows you to be recharging one while you're using one.

Good idea, not state-of-the-art
There's good reason to use a rechargeable battery.. (AAA batteries last a few hours and sometimes they don't make good contact in a Petzl headlamp. I have several headlamps and always have spare AAA batteries rolling around with partly used ones in my car. Recharging a single battery while I drive is an attractive idea.) The AccuCore took about 10 hours to initially charge and takes 4-6 hours to recharge after 1 hour's use. Compared to 3 fresh AAAs, it's not quite as bright in either white or red but very small difference. This battery runs down in a couple hours, lasting about half or less the time that 3 AAA batteries last. It fits some other headlamps and appliances too! but not Black Diamond, haven't checked Princeton yet.

Long Life Battery is worth it
Very impressed...The Petzl Accu Core battery has longer life than rechargeable Ni-Mh AAA batteries. How much more? 3 to 4 times more than other rechargeable AAA batteries after usage over the past couple of months. I work in somewhat harsh conditions; high humidity, salty air, 90-100F degree summer temperatures. I need bright directed light to work on electronics and wiring in awkward places under buildings and in attics. Petzl is the most durable product I have found. I have sweated gallons into Petzl and they endure like no others in their price class. The headlamp is around my neck or in use all day long at work, and at home for reading and hobbies. I was hesitant to get this Petzl Core battery because of the price. It’s basically the same amount I spend on the headlamps from Petzl. I’m glad I did! I recharge it once a week at most, usually it lasts up to two weeks for me. Where-as the Ni-Mh AAAs had to be replaced every two days. I have several sets of AAAs ready to go, cycling them in and out of the charger. I would highly recommend this to any moderate to heavy users of Petzl headlamps. The reliability and longevity are vast improvements worth paying for in my case.

I love this little battery. It's proprietary to Petzl products but its tiny, lightweight and easy to swap out when needed.

Another part for my emergency kit. It is handy to have two rechargeable batteries for the head light in the case of an emergency
