Easy open and close for my 5 year old. He loves dinosaurs so he was very happy to receive this. It holds his bentgo box perfectly with room for ice pack, utensils and extra snacks.

The box is made better than most you can purchase at your local stores. Instead of flimsy walls, lined with styrofoam and plastic, this is insulated quite well. It feels sturdy in your hands. As for size: We have a rubbermade lunchblox flat pack, and it will not fit in with the icepack. However, that means, his individual items were not locked into place and can (and did) fall out when he unzipped it at lunch. The zipper is in the middle of the ‘wall.’ Rather than having a lid to unzip, you have two identical sides that don’t fully open due to the design. My kiddo is very careful, so we aren’t concerned about the product breaking, but more about space. At lunch, he doesn’t have room for a lunchbox and his lunch items to all have their own space. I’d prefer it if he could eat out of his lunch box. The strange design meant he had to kind of dig around for each piece of his lunch, rather than see it all in front of him. I appreciate the thickness. It doesn’t feel like it will rip or get distorted through wear and tear. Update: While I still appreciate the sturdiness of this product, it does not maintain a cool temperature for lunches. We add tiny first aid ice packs (since lunchbox ice packs don’t fit), and even those are room temp by the time my kid eats lunch.

Only thing I don’t like is there’s no inside pockets and no pocket on the outside to put your child’s water bottle. It is a good quality lunch bag though with a pretty cool design. So we are keeping it because my son likes it.

This has held up at preschool with my 3 year old. It is easy to wipe down. Use a wipe and takes away dirt. Easy to zip and unzip. Has a clip to hook onto his back pack handle. Love it.
