I see that some people are confused as to what this product really is about. It’s a highlighting compact. It is NOT a matte, finishing powder for the whole face. If you know that going in, you’ll not find that disappointing, as that is what I went in wanting. If you want a matte, full-face powder, they make that too, but that’s not in this listing. It’s a great looking, little compact, with bronzing and highlighting powder, but be careful, as a little bit goes a long way. When highlighting and contouring, you need to be sure to start slowly and build more color, if needed, or else you’ll end up looking a hot mess. This takes practice to do, but there are a million and one tutorials on You Tube to show you how to highlight properly if you aren’t used to it at all, or are a semi-newbie. The quality of this makeup seems really good, and it works well. When I was younger and by far wayyyy less oily in my skin, I don’t know why that is but I digress, I then enjoyed a bit of sparkle on my skin. It does add some youthfulness to the skin and your overall appearance, the added sparkle pigments, however, at 46 with severely oily skin, I’m more of a matte girl. I want to highlight, I love bronzers, but I don’t prefer much if any sparkle that makes me look further shiny, as I look like a wet dog by the end of the day without any extra help. However, I would really like that aspect of this if I were not oily like I am. It’s a pretty look, but it isn’t up everybody’s alley. Just letting consumers know all of this going in, so you can make informed buying choices without confusion. My daughter loves to shine, so I’ll definitely be sharing with her. Ahh.. to be 16 again 😞. But it is a very good quality product, and it does do as is intended. These are beautiful colors for contouring, especially nose contouring. It isn't super pigmented but I do like that I need to work up to get the intensity, rather than a super pigmented one where I'd look funny if it isn't the perfect line drawn. I didn't use the brush that came with it as I prefer to use my makeup brush for contouring. The compact has 3 different shades of brown - Toffee, Mute, and Ash. Toffee is a brown with a hint of yellow, for contouring around the chin and jaw. Mute is a beige for adjusting brightness. Ash is a brown color with a hint of gray, for nose, brow, and hair contouring. For contouring chin area, use Toffee and Mute. For nose/brow/hairline, use Mute and Ash. The powder is quite fine and allows you to build on the intensity of the color. There is no scent or fragrance to the powder. I found the compact to feel a little cheap and plastic-y, and almost feel like it would break if I accidentally dropped it. I didn't do the drop test though in case it really breaks. At this mid tier price I am expecting a better quality container to house the product. I do like the overall look at design of this brand though. After trying this shading compact, I am very interested in trying Jung Saem Mool's other makeup products.

I like this compact. It seems well made and substantial enough that I wouldn't hesitate to toss it in my bag without having to worry that it would pop open or break. The shading includes three different shades and they coordinate well. Perfect for defining cheekbones or slimming a nose or adding a touch of drama as needed. Comes with a reasonably fluffy brush for on the go touch-ups but I prefer using a contour brush when I am not travelling.

It took me a while to figure out how to use this properly. I had to go to a website to find the shade names and what they are for. Apparently this isn't used as a bronzer like I thought. Each shade is used for different parts of the face. The darkest is for the jaw specifically and forehead, the one on the right is for the nose, and the center one is just used as a regular setting powder. With that being said, I actually really enjoyed the consistency and how light it felt on my skin. It's completely unscented and the brush that comes with it is extremely soft and easy to work with once you finally figure out what you're doing with it. However, I wouldn't recommend this compact for anyone who has a skin tone darker than fair/light. The shades work for me because I'm extremely fair but it would just look ashy on anyone else.

I purchased this to find a a great finish and I did love how soft the brush is and how the powder goes on with ease it has 5 different shades to find the perfect match I am 100% satisfied with this purchase
