Great ladder easy to use great to keep in the van

This ladder is easily transportable behind the front seat and in front of the back seat of just about any car; it's that small. I weigh about 200 lbs and that's the maximum weight I would trust on this ladder when fully extended, although it's rated for a bit more. It's about the size of a standard platform ladder, maybe get you 4' and change off the ground, but it's enough to carry somewhere and do a job where transport space is at a premium and you need to reach 10' or so from the ground. You'll want a spotter and a level base surface when you stand on the highest recommended step and fully extend the ladder. For us, it was a godsend to be able to bring a ladder to an outdoor festival to mount small outdoor speakers on a bandstand for our sound system. Highly recommend, **for its intended purpose** but read and heed the warnings and safety precautions.

If you're looking for a reliable, stable and safe telescoping, a-frame ladder that won't injure you while using it, don't waste your money on this one. It's extremely wobbly when set up, even when it's fully extended and locked into place it feels like it could topple over at any moment. It's extremely heavy but that does not carry over to its stability. It feels flimsy and shaky. You will absolutely need someone else to hold it steady while using it. The worst part of it though is closing it back up and releasing the extensions. I've injured myself TWICE now trying to get it to close back up. I have to wear thick gloves to keep the metal locking mechanism on the sides from stabbing me in the hand when I release the clips. It's an awful design. Very poor engineering on this one. You get what you pay for, I guess. It's super cheap for a reason. Thankfully, I only need to use this ladder at most about once or twice a month for my job, so I'll keep it for now but if you need one of these for daily use, skip over this one, it's not an option.

Ladder can be handled by a woman with no assistance. Sturdy and easy to store.

I am still trying to figure this ladder out. The instructions are useless. I just wanted to use it as a quick 3ft step ladder, but it was so complicated to get it to a leveled height that I needed that after 15 min I just gave up. Btw. it took me another 20 min to figure out how to lower it back to it's original height. A ladder shouldn't require a doctorates degree to use it.
