A Family Favourite That Brings Joy For Years!
Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell is an absolute treasure in our family, holding a special place on every bookshelf. I first bought this book for my son, and it quickly became a favorite that we enjoyed together for many, many years. Its charming simplicity, interactive flaps, and the fun of discovering which animal is hiding behind each one never seems to lose its appeal, no matter how many times we’ve read it.I have also purchased countless copies of Dear Zoo for friends over the years, and it has been universally loved and well-received. The story's timelessness and gentle humor make it the perfect gift for young children, and it’s a joy to see it spark the same excitement in other families that it has in ours. Whether you’re introducing it to a new generation or revisiting it for nostalgia, *Dear Zoo* is a book that will always bring smiles and memories.

One of best toddler board books!
I bought this book about 10 years ago when my oldest was 3. It was an immediate hit as I find toddlers love saying the names and noises of all the different animals and also love lift the flap books! The book itself is a really solid board book which feels nice to hold and turn the pages. Only downside is that the flaps are only cardboard and therefore little overeager toddler hands will easily tear it. Hence me buying this book again for my now 2 year old as I wanted to replace my previous one which was in bad condition!I now keep it apart from my other books and only to be read together with me so I can control the flap openings.. I'm sure this won't last too long, but in the meantime it is pristine! My 5 year old is desperate to read it too!

Childcare professional recommended
A lovely book to read to young children to encourage learning. Explore animals and their sounds, talk about sizes and shapes- would the giraffe fit in the box that the frog arrived in for example. There are so many possibilities beyond just reading the story.Children will love to press the buttons to hear the animal sounds and open the flaps to discover which animal arrives.Overall a simple but well written story for younger children that they will enjoy from baby to at least preschool age.I used to read this to my own children and have used it in various childcare settings; I’ve now purchased it again to gift to a friend’s child for their 1st birthday

Lovely
I remember reading this to my two sons when they were small. They loved it. So now that I have a Grandchild who loves books, I thought I would buy it for her. It’s now one of her favourites. It’s illustrated really well and nice and sturdy. Would recommend.

Lovely book
Brought this as a gift fir my new great niece as it was one of my sons favourites when he was little. He loved lifting the flaps and repetitive words helped him learn to speak and read.

A great first lift the flap book
The media could not be loaded. We bought this book for my daughter when she was about 8 months old and first gaining some interest in lift the flap books. It was an instant hit with her. It’s a perfectly simple, but also interactive book for babies. Each page has a crisp white background with simple text and illustrations. It’s a good design, there isn’t too much distraction from the main components for little ones. The flaps are also very sturdy, the sturdiest I’ve come across. The story is as a simple one, but also nice and there are lots of opportunities for labelling and pointing out different animals. We also did animal sounds with our daughter. It has become less popular with her as she’s got older. She’s now almost two and rarely chooses it. As I’ve said already, it’s very simple, and therefore perhaps less interesting to older children.
