Recruited by an intelligence agency, outstanding martial arts student Bruce Lee participates in a brutal karate tournament hosted by the evil Han. Along with champions Roper and Williams, he uncovers Han's white slavery and drug trafficking ring located on a secret island fortress. In the exciting climax, hundreds of freed prisoners fight in an epic battle with Lee and Han locked in a deadly duel.

Remastered video, lossless audio, new features, same great film. What's not to love?
‘Enter the Dragon’ has practically become synonymous with kung fu cinema & for good reason. It's possible there's none better & even more possible we'll never see someone like ‘Bruce Lee‘ again. Even forty seven years after his tragic death, Lee remains a force to be reckoned with, as does ‘Enter the Dragon’.This review is about the ‘Blu-ray’ 💿 version.Playback: Region Free (A,B,C).This is the 40th Anniversary edition remastered by Warner Brothers (2013 release).‘Enter the Dragon’ has quite simply never looked better on a Warner Brothers Blu-Ray release. Criterion has released it on Blu-ray in 2020 (& it’s absolutely spotless & superior video quality compared to this version )but it’s unfortunately region coded & we don’t have a 4K version yet. This remastered version not only outclasses,out-paces & out manoeuvres its 2007 counterpart Blu-ray (which by comparison, is backed by an aged master & a less than exacting encode), it features a far more natural, film-like image, largely free of the anomalies that afflict its 2007 predecessor. Much the same could be said about Warner's DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track. To the casual listener, the mix might not be all that impressive. To the cinephile/audiophile, though, Enter the Dragon's long-awaited lossless experience doesn't disappoint in the least, delivering the film as it is rather than artificially make it something it's not. Dialogue, shouts, whispers, jabs, full-force attacks & really, just about every smashed crate, cracked rib, splintering mirror, devastating kick or whirring nunchaku that graces the soundscape is hindered by the thin, punchy tone of the era. But as 40-year-old martial arts classics go, all is as it should be. Voices are clean and clear. Lalo Schifrin's iconic score sounds fantastic! When it comes to extras, the 40th Anniversary Edition only disappoints in one regard: "A Warrior's Journey," the 100-minute documentary featured on the film's 2007 Blu-ray release, is nowhere to be found(Copyright issue perhaps). Three new HD featurettes are offered up in exchange, ‘No Way As Way’, ‘The Return To Han’s Island’, ‘Wing Chun: The Art That Introduced Kung-Fu to Bruce Lee’. Other special features include : Commentary by producer Paul Heller, Making of Enter The Dragon, Bruce Lee: In His Own Words, Linda Lee interview galley, Location: Hong Kong with Enter The Dragon, Backyard workout with Bruce, The curse of The Dragon, Original theatrical trailer & TV spots. The Blu-ray is manufactured in India by Sony DADC & fortunately it’s the 102 mins extended version(Indian censor didn’t kill the art here). I’ve no idea why Warner Brothers/Excel did not release this Blu-ray with Figure/replica/props/memorabilia that was part of the US/EU release. Nevertheless this is a great release for your collection.

Enter The Dragon 40th anniversary blu-ray
Hi,I Would like to recommend to fans around the world and India that this is the best 3rd time remaster and release by wanner Bros...In-terms of Video quality i would rate 4 out of 5 coz there is lot of improvement in color depth and picture quality then previous release by Wanner Bros. And for Audio i would rate 3.5 out of 5 coz the lips movement and vocals are now in sync then previous release had the problem of delay for few seconds.Wanner have include DTS HD Master audio in this release but still the dynamics and surround are not too great coz for the age of the movie and the low budget film of its time. But still this Master film look great on this bluray and worth for the cost.Regards,Ryan vaz.Email:- [email protected]

Got multiple Blurays together and all less than Rs. 1000. Nothing to complain and looks great, especially their cover arts.

horribly censored....DON'T BUY THIS DVD...
though the audio and video quality of the dvd is good, the movie is horribly censored. its okay that two scenes were deleted where there is slight nudity but i wonder why some fight scenes were also censored and those fight scenes were not censored by the censor board of India even in the year 1975 when the movie released in India and now after 4 decades those fight scenes are deleted. are the indian audience of these days became that much sensitive????? one wonders when more horrifying and violent scenes are being telecasted on tv channels nowadays, some reasonable fight scenes of the movie are censored...for example if you are watching the movie for the first time on this dvd, you wonder all of a sudden where the villain gone or disappeared in the end fight scene between the hero and the villain....so if you are really a true fan of BRUCE LEE and ENTER THE DRAGON, please DON'T BUY THIS DVD even if price of the dvd is slashed to one rupee....

Good movie but Indian Edition is not good
The image shown in listing is different. Listed image is from a package box (sleeve) which contains post cards, Bruce Lee 3D card, Envelope etc. But in listed item, you will get only Blu-Ray. I am not sure why Indian version is treated as normal blue ray, It doesn't have any promotional material and nothing about 40th Anniversary edition as it is available in UK or US Region Free versions, you can check about it. Very disappointed with this Indian Release. Order if you are okay with Blu-Ray Disc only. For movie *****(5 Stars)This Indian release and item *** (3 Stars)

No Special Features?
The 4K Ultra HD disc of Enter the Dragon has the best picture of any version I've ever seen. Sadly, they jettisoned all of the special features from the various previous editions.

Enter-tainment By the Best Martial Artist of All Time! Too Bad About the Picture Quality Though!
I really enjoyed this film because it was a lot more than just a martial arts flick in which the plot was just an afterthought to surround the fighting scenes like most martial arts films then and even now. In fact, as has been pointed out by many reviewers here the action scenes are certainly not the best fight scenes ever but that's okay as it's clear that that was never Bruce Lee's intention in the first place. This film was more of a vehicle for Bruce to try and pass along his philosophy which is why the previously deleted scenes from the original screening which has been added here are so important. That's not to say that all the fight scenes were poor because that's just not true. The scenes were pretty brief because as Bruce himself has mentioned, the real-life fights are never drawn out and lengthy as the fastest one who strikes first is almost always the winner and Bruce shows just how fast he is in his fight scenes. His fight with Bob Wall was quick, efficient and deadly and is realistic. Those who were expecting a Wong Fei Hong type one man against an entire village kinda flick won't get it here as that is simply not realistic as far as fight scenes go.The final scene with the mirrors is so apt as it reminds us of the beginning of the film where Lee's teacher explains to him how the enemy uses images to deceive and to destroy the enemy you need to destroy the images which is what we get. So we get a better balance here of philosophy, storyline and action scenes. This film also made Asian Kung Fu films well known and popularised them in the West and so for that reason alone this film is worthy of respect. This dvd has great sound quality having been given the Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround treatment and has great special features with interviews with Linda Lee his wife as well as with Bruce which gives us a glimpse of what the real person was like. The only problem though was with the picture quality that hasn't been restored and so is not worthy of the rest of the dvd package with spots and other imperfections present on many of the frames. Let's hope the new Blu-ray version is better and that they have cleaned up the picture quality.Great film, great sound and special features but perhaps you should go for the Blu-ray version if the picture quality has been restored or wait for a restored standard version to surface.Updated 6 June 2011:As Amazon will not let me review this separately I'll have to append this here: the blu-ray version of this great Bruce Lee film is certainly worth the double-dip. The picture quality although not pristine perfect has been restored well enough to 1080p format and is a vast improvement over the dvd I reviewed above. The sound quality is still in Dolby Digital 5.1 and so is about the same as it was on the dvd. The major improvement other than the picture quality is in the special feature documentaries which are very good and together with the improved picture quality make this blu-ray version the best version of this film that is currently out there and is certainly worth the upgrade.Highly recommended!
