Hair Gloss in Wild Berry Red - 4 Wk Semi Permanent Hair Color for Women - Deep Rich Burgandy Color Depositing Conditioner & Toner for Vibrant Color + Shine - Hair Dye Glaze - Vegan

Okay so I used a mix of Overtone’s Ginger and Honey Blonde for ever to get a slightly more vibrant ginger color from my natural ginger, until they discontinued Honey Blonde. Then I went to Keracolor’s Copper and Honey, but the price for the honey recently skyrocketed from like $20 per 33oz bottle to nearly $60! I also had a lot of trouble with both transferring on my pillows or knit hats, even when I wasn’t sweating and my hair wasn’t wet, and the color faded quickly with washes. I was really nervous to try the Kristen Ess Copper Penny, especially because I was only buying the 1 bottle and not mixing anything since I’m sick of doing that. I was nervous it would come out orange like the other two brands when not mixed. But, it’s winter and I’m not going out much so I figured what do I have to lose. When I first saw the color in the bottle I was very nervous- it was a DARK orangey color. It also had an odd lemony chemical smell which I didn’t love. The texture is definitely runny, im used to a thicker conditioner like consistency. The only bottle was plenty for my very thin hair, but if I had any more hair than I do I would need at least another bottle to get full coverage. I did apply it dry even though the directions say to do it wet, so that probably affected how far it went. For my hair applying glosses dry helps them last a lot longer. I left it on for the recommended amount of time, and rinsed with cold water. It took for EVER to rise out fully, which surprised me, but no biggie. I used an old orange pool towel to dry, and some color definitely transferred to that, but once it was dry I was OBSESSED. It’s the perfect shade of ginger for me. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it from family and friends. I try not to wash my hair too much in general, but I have washed it once pretty thoroughly with hot water since applying. It did transfer to the towel again, but I don’t notice any difference in the color of my hair since then. It also has not transferred to any of my sheets or anything while I’m sleeping- Mega win!! My hair is soft, shiny and feels very healthy. If you’re looking for a solid, decently lasting Cowboy Copper type color, Kristen Ess is where it’s at.

as a natural red head, my color is starting to fade. I used this to just get some color and life back in my hair, and it looked great! didn’t look unnatural, and my hair was so soft and seemed healthy after using. I’d say it lasted a couple weeks for me.

This was the first time I used this product and it did perform as to what I was looking for. First off ~ I would NOT apply this in the shower unless as it is very "liquidy" in my opinion it would be a mess. I applied it the same way I do at home when coloring my hair. I use a dollar store plastic table cloth for my floor, just in case any color gets away from me. I place my bathroom chair on the middle of plastic table cloth & cover the chair (seat & back) with two black towels (one on the seat the other fully opened to hang over and down the back of the chair). I have a old t-shirt & black leggings that I've up-cycled as my hair coloring outfit, don't have to worry about any stains, and I wear this outfit every time I do my hair. I have another plastic table cloth I've cut pieces to fit my bathroom counter and use that to cover up the counter area I'm working from. Next I section my hair out using black clips then I use almond oil around the frame of my face, ears and neck, to protect my skin from staining should the gloss/color find it's way to a place other than my hair! Color can run a bit if it's hot and you sweat (I run a fan in the bathroom when I'm coloring) this gloss definitely can run, it is liquidy and thinner than regular color. Next I mixed the hair gloss ingredients together and don't forget to shake well before applying gloss (or color if you are coloring). Here's the secret, be patient, give yourself plenty of time and go slow when applying. It's like giving yourself mental hygiene time and a spa experience all in one - put on your favorite music and enjoy the experience! After glossing each section of your hair roll your hair on top of your head and saturate your HAIR with the gloss (or color) and then cover your HAIR with a plastic hair cap (or grocery store bag, yep up-cycle those too!) like you would using a shower cap - never cover your face, you need to breathe, right. Now your processing. You can add a little heat to the processing by using your blow dryer on the outside of the hair cap moving it around continuously to heat your entire hair, opening the cuticles in the shaft of your hair for the gloss (or color) to penetrate a little deeper. Keep it moving so you do not burn your hair or scalp and for a few minutes. TIPS - I keep extra paper towels handy before I put product in my hair, just in case, you are already prepared to clean up any spills ... SUPER TIP ... I also have a few makeup wipes handy! They are great at taking color of your skin if it should get somewhere it shouldn't. I have them handy before I start applying products to my hair and again after the was the product out of my hair. I can give my face, neck and ears the once over if any color remains after washing out. This product left my hair soft and pulled together, meaning less frizzy when styled and dry. Beautiful, subtle color...would have given 5 stars but do not see the increased shine I was looking for. On another high note, grays blend in more easily.

First time trying this gloss and second time using a hair gloss in general. In comparison to the other brand I bought (Glaze), this gloss was so much better! I’m a natural redhead and my hair fades during the winter. This gloss restored my hair back to its vibrant color and left it feeling silky smooth. Will continue to buy this product to maintain my hair ☺️

Fantastic stuff, brings back the vibrancy to my auburn hair now I am getting a little older.

it’s alright as a hair dye i guess but it didn’t really do much to my hair colour- but got some fun seeing my hair auburn. for a few days. but to be fair i had dark blonde hair before using it i noticed i lost a bit of hair after using it but that could just be stress from life - or me constantly fixing my hair parting . also if you’re in the uk it’s shipped from america, so takes a long time to be delivered. And you can only use this dye once , as you need to mix two bottles together and once the chemical reaction happens you can’t reuse it. plus you only use like a quarter or half of the dye so it’s really expensive but it was hard to find other auburn hair dyes, so it’s alright i guess. if was cheaper and shipped from uk i’d give it a 4 star rating
