Good solid connection for house generator plug
I built a 50A 220v generator cord with this plug. Everything seems well made and should last a long long time. The locking grooves are snug for a good fit into the socket. Everything worked well when I tested it!

Very Solid
This is a solid plug and very sturdy. It fits the Connecticut Electric 50amp box just fine. This will be used to connect the new generator to the house in the event of a power outage. It took some effort to get the 3/1 #6 wire through the rubber in the black piece but it fits. Using #6 stranded was a little tight due to the shorter length so it will all fit in the housing, but was able to do it. I used a multimeter to make sure there were no cross connections. Haven't had the need to actually try the plug yet. I would recommend this plug.

Prise femelle de bonne qualité, bien construite. Les conducteurs sont facile à passer dans les trous. J'a du 3 conducteur de calibre 10 avec de la gaine a caoutchouc et la prise a une rondelle aussi en caoutchouc qui sèle tres bien contre l'eau.

The installation of this 30 amp connector took me no more than 5 mins. Because I’m not an electrician I read the instructions just to be clear, but it wasn’t necessary as it was a no brainer. One of the reviews said that the person had a hard time installing it and suggested that it was a design problem. I suspect that this person is either from a competitor who wants to discredit the manufacturer, or simply does not know how to install standard plugs. If you are fairly handy, you’ll have no issues installing this connector. By the way, I am not associated in any way to this manufacturer and I have no other interest than to share my experience with others.
