It’s uniqueness. Neat functional . Great fun conversational door shelf.

The media could not be loaded. I had to make some adjustments because the door size was what the measurements was for, not the rough cutout. I ended up cutting into the floor, which I think was the best way to set it. All in all, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

TONS of hidden fees.

Well packaged, arrived on schedule and undamaged, well designed and relatively easy install (did it my self in a couple hours). A bit fiddly, but went in and looks nice. Only MAJOR disappointment and the reason for the loss of 3 stars is that they used a cheap melamine threshold/saddle for the door. Not sure what I am supposed to do with it, a painted chunk of melamine (no beveling, just a piece of 1 by) as a threshold will look like crap and will not be durable. May try to replace but will not be easy. A near fatal flaw for what is an otherwise nice product. Murphy Door, if you are watching please correct this, cant recommend as is.

Great door and looks fantastic

To begin with, this review is for the Murphy Door company's outstanding customer service. I approached Murphy Door with a design idea that was slightly different than their usual process. After many clear discussions with my main point of contact Nick, they built the door and we all expected it to work as planned with my unique install concept. I paid for the expedited process which turned out to be vastly faster than expected, and my door was ready in about two and half weeks, and shipped out in two days. The door arrived just fine, and my local carpenter went to install the door but then told me that the carefully planned unique configuration was absolutely not going to work. I sent photos back to Murphy Door and my contact there, and they took the problems back to their design team. Unfortunately even after a few days using their CAD program it turned out they had spoken out of turn regarding my modifications being "no problem." But here is why I am leaving a five star review: After we all acknowledged that the intended plan was not going to happen and that I was not going to have the door that was planned between all of us because engineering-wise it was in fact unattainable, they gave me a full refund without hesitation. I call that top-shelf customer service. They owned their mistake like absolute professionals. So much so that if I require a Murphy Door in the future I would approach them again, only I recommend that you stick to what they normally design and probably avoid unusual personal modifications. More companies should have customer service like Murphy Door.
