Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat Reading Glasses

I found these readers at Walgreens years ago, my Dad loved both pair since it was a BOGO & even gave a pair to my Adopted Bro. Then I couldn't find them anymore. Both wanted a spare pair & one needed a higher level. Both loved it fit in their shirt pockets, they don't fog, they self adjust to your face without sliding down your nose or putting pressure on your temples. There is no need to unfold anything they pop out of the case ready to go & flop down into the case without issues. The nose piece looks odd but it's comfortable. I borrow them from time to time for something I need a little more magnification for or very small print. I get why they like them. Now I found a supply again. Everyone is happy with their readers.

When I got to the point that I started having to read menus with the magnifier app on my phone, I decided I needed to do something about it. Carrying regular readers is annoying. These fold flat in the hard case and I can carry them all the time. They pop open out of the case and I can put them on without having to unfold them like other compact readers I have seen. Always having a pair of these with me has been a huge improvement and greatly reduces so many frustrations related to aging eyes. I now own several pairs of these so I have backups. My one warning is they aren’t great for wearing while actively doing something because they won’t stay on your head if you are active while looking down, so you’ll want something more traditional for working. They are fine for reading, but when I’ve been doing something like looking into the engine while working on my car they gradually fall off. However, if you want readers you can pop on in a moment for convenience no matter where you are these are fantastic!

The glasses & lenses are a high quality. As much as I beat on the glasses, they continue to be scratch-free and frames stay like new.

I love how thin they are in the case, it's makes them easy to carry without taking up much space. I've worn this model of readers for several years and they've changed the design slightly, but not for the better in my opinion. I don't like the new style of the nose pads, they need adjusting to fit better and are not as comfortable as the old style. The case has issues too, all of them, old and new, the hinge pins work their way out of the case and are easily lost, making the system pointless as the case is integral to the folding function. I found I could replace the pins with model aircraft wire from the hobby shop and put a drop of epoxy on the end to keep it in place. The case also has a rubberized coating on the outside that does not hold up to continued use and gets tacky feeling after a while. I really like the idea of these, but I will try a pair of ThinOptics readers next time to see if I like them better.

I have perscription readers and they work great but i lost one pair while at work and to be honest i needed basically half heighr lenses as i stare at a computer screen for up to 12 hours a day but also need to constantly look further away. This cause me to wear my glases at tip of nose. Which killed my sinuses. Tried a could of other pairs from other companies and they all fell short . These Work just like I needed them to. Super slim and very easy to carry in pocket

I Love these glasses. They fold up to a small thin size and are easy to take anywhere. the lens are good size about 1 inch), so they are easy to look through. They are very sturdy and the only reason I ever need new ones is because I lose a pair.

The fold flat feature is handy, but the glasses are uncomfortable on the face.

The fact that these are foldable and the case is very flat is what appealed to me about these glasses. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try them out since they arrived broken and the case was obviously used (see pics). You can see how warn the inside of the case is in the second pic. C'mon Amazon! You can do better! I've ordered a replacement pair. I'll update the rating when I get them. UPDATE: Got the replacement glasses the next day! These are comfortable and slim enough to fit in my pocket!

Because the arms of the glasses are hinged to fold flat, the glass case is very thin. It takes up very little room in my pocket.
