No, it’s not cotton or silk but the workmanship and quality is still nice at that price point. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it and it feels nice to the touch.

It is NOT 77" long. Very pretty but too short for my use. I'll be ordering another to add to it.

How hand wash and iron to restore smooth crisp finish?

I don't know as I have not worn mine enough to have it washed. I would probably opt to take to my dry cleaner instead.
