Fun toy lens at a cheap price with above good image quality
Overall I am pleased and would recommend this lens. I put this lens on my Sony A7iii, Canon 80d, and Panasonic GH4. The image circle this 25mm lens produces will fit a M43 sensor without vignetting. Some dark vignetting on APSC, and you can see the entire image circle in blackness on Full Frame. I like the creative look on FF. Very interesting to play with. The one big negative imo is that the focus ring is on the back of the lens, where as on most lenses it is on the front. This makes it unpleasant, but not too difficult, to focus as the ring is literally right up against the camera body. Not a huge deal tho considering. Excellent sharpness. Impressively mild Chromatic Abberation Accurate color rendition, not too warm or cold. Good Smooth Bokeh Out of focus regions do not appear too busy imo. No intense onion rings, pretty smooth. Impressive for so cheap. When stopped down bokeh takes on a pentagon shape. It has a non linear focal plane. (idk if that's the proper term.) The focal plane is spherical so the center will be in focus and the edges will be out of focus, and vice versa. Certainly helps with subject separation if subject is in center. Cool mild swirly effect when subject is center frame and in focus. The out of focus regions around the subject have this mild swirly effect. Very cool. To be honest I wish it were more pronounced.

Perfect 50mm(equivilent) starter!
I am loving the photos iut of this lense! I'm using it on my Panasonic g7 and for the most part it works perfectly. Good: Inexpensive! Its by far the cheapest route for a 50mm equivalent. Depth of field. So shallow and beautiful! Weight, tiny! Fits in my pocket even! The focus and aperature rings work great though they took some time to get used too. Bad: The aperature has markers for the f-stop, but nothing to point at it... Chromatic aberration. Happens with a high f-stop. Artifacting in bright light, no hood. The feild of view is curved. So at f 1.4 the flame of focus is curved and you really have to play with the focus ring to pull focus correctly. All in all definately worth the price, not a professional alternative, but definately a good buy, and great for taking unique semiprofessional immages.

Breaks into two pieces easily although can put back together
This lens has tendency to fall apart into two pieces - one half will have the aperture blades, the other the outside lens (can think of the two halves as stuffing smaller cup into larger cup). A headache to keep them together (even though easy to put back together) if you don’t have a dedicated place for them. Have to worry a lot more about dust and damage to Aperture blades if anything gets caught inside. As a result it’s very gimmicky and finicky and in my opinion the price doesn’t make up for those headaches as those are the last things you should have to worry about while preparing/shooting etc. If you’re really on a tight budget it’s worth a try but then you also have to adjust your in camera settings as the image on its own usually has vignetting and most people have to use in camera zoom/magnification of some sort to get it out of the way. As a result of having to zoom you do lose picture/video quality not that the quality is that great to begin with (center is usually focused fine but gets less clear towards borders of picture - plus the vignetting...)
