Extremely Comfortable, One of the best boots I have ever bought
These boots are extremely comfortable and fits great. I average 15,000 steps as a Greenskeeper daily. I work in Oklahoma, and need durable yet flexible, breathable yet water resistant, lightweight, comfortable, and reasonably priced.... I found them. Great gripping ground, even when carrying a load over wet surfaces. Fit is very comfortable with plenty of support and padded protection for ankles. Thanks Free Soldier!

Hey, that’s pretty good.
Tried to take photos from various angles. Very nice pair of shoes, ran me about half a size large but, I’ll live. Color is nice, the little crevices it has on the sole look cool. All in all very happy with my purchase.

Jury now in(follow up review)
This is a follow up to my original 2 star, Jury out review.I redid boot laces & purchased better quality socks. Blister issue is resolved & I no longer feel that area rubbing. The issue I had with my Achilles hurting when I first started wearing these boots is being treated with stretching & ice. I now believe that issue is not related to these boots.I believe these boots needed a short break in period, as they seem to have stretched to a better fit. In hindsight, I should have ordered size 10.5, not size 10.These boots are incredibly light & breathable. Especially patrolling in the Florida summer heat. Short break in is required. But now they are very comfortable. Glad I stuck with them. Also, company contacted me regarding the issues I addressed in my original review. So they definitely back up their product. One month of use, no signs of boots breaking down. I am curious about the durability. The UA boots these replaced began separating between the toe & sole at about 7 months. If I get 5-6 months out of these, at half the price, it’s a win !I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of no side zipper. But at less than half the price of UA & Bates Tactical Boots, these are a great deal.

Great Boot, Decent Price, Comfy Fit, and Accurate Sizing. Read Edits at end for updates.
I hate shopping for footwear, which explains buying TEN identical pairs of Skechers Glides Slip-On Calculus Loafers from Amazon over the past six or so years to wear as yard shoes. I just buy what has fit before, no big decisions involved. But, I needed a boot for work that wouldn't fly off in a fight. I have a couple of pairs of Dr. Martens' heavy duty loafers (Vietnam made) that were tough (no longer available), but they come off too easy. I didn't like the price or reviews of current Dr. Marten boots, so I figured, what the heck, cool name, reasonable price, good reviews, look decent, everything is made in Asia anyway, I will try these new quasi-military lace-up boots out. Came today. Size is accurate; I'm a narrow ten and a half/eleven and eleven seems to fit fine on the kitchen floor. For brand new, they seem comfortable enough, but only time will tell. Durability is a tale for another edit. I have one HUGE beef that may be a discriminator for some buyers, especially those with wider feet as these boots are close fitting, ankle length, and hard to grasp if you are getting on in years, adding a few pounds, or have trouble bending over: they really really really need durable heel/ankle pull straps to help getting them on. It would have been easier to return them rather than type all this blather out, but I do like the boots and fit once they are on. I just didn't appreciate the death struggle required to get them on to begin with. I can see where the ankle backs might crush down before the tops loosen up, which will just make things worse. But, I'm stubborn and will just get ready for work a few minutes earlier. Edit already after a day's wear: All Five Star now. These boots feel like moccasins in only one day. VERY Comfy. No break-in for me. I solved the issue of being hard to pull on by unlacing the first eyelet, the same field-expedient solution I used with all my Army boots. Now they go on as easy as a pair of boondockers. This also gives enough lacing to actually tie. The ideal solution would be to add pull-on straps AND provide longer laces so the tops can be opened more fully. I hate buying footwear, but these boots saved me a bunch of hassle. Note: these are not safety boots; the material is high quality and thick enough for daily use, but the toe is still a normal boot toe. That's why they feel like moccasins. EDIT a year later: these boots have held up well under casual work wear, no crushing down in back or rapid sole abrasion. Because they are suede, they are not suitable for wet environments as they soak up water quickly. I found that out the hard way slogging through rain puddles in our outside patio bar. I lace them up now a couple of eyelets down now and they slip on fine. These boots are a good choice if you need tactical style footwear but want to avoid weight and clunkiness. They are roomy enough for both cushion cotton socks and a reasonable thickness cushion insole insert. I work as a nightclub bouncer and did not want steel toe boots as they are not looked upon well in the legal system. I just wanted lightweight sturdy footwear, not the perception of a weapon. These Free Soldier boots fit the bill.

The Real Deal! Soldier approved!
I'm an old soldier and was skeptical of this product but they looked good and were cheap so I decided to give them a try. WOW!These are not some cheap "walmart" shoe dressed up like a combat boot... these are REAL BOOTS!PROS:-Strong leather, good stitching-The tounge is stitched up high; on the range all day in sand & desert and nothing got in boot-Laces up like a real combat boot, high quality eyelets.-Lightest combat boot EVER!-Looks. It wears like a $200 bootCONS:-ZERO arch support. The footbeed is just soft foam. I replaced it with a quality footed and it's awesome now!-Sole. Good traction and comfortable but very light, soft material. You wouldn't want to step on a nail in these.-Break in time. Like all combat boots, these had a little break in time. I had heel slip the first time I wore them but the new footbeds and a little adjustment on the laces fixed the problem.Overall, FANTASTIC boot at a great price.

Light, not hot--but not for heavy use
Bought these to replace some waterproof boots I have that made my feet sweat buckets.Pros: They are extremely light, like wearing running shoes, and my feet stay much cooler in the 95+ degree heat. They are comfortable and functional.Cons: A big one--they didn't last one month before they started coming apart. The Cordura fabric is supposed to be tough but (see pictures) started coming apart at the seam. They are also a bit of a pain to get on and off with the full eyelets at the top instead of half eyelets that allow quick lace/unlace for the top two or three.Bottom line: If you have occasional, light-duty use they would probably be fine but they can't stand up to heavy use. They are hiking boots, not working boots.

They have some issues. That just rip the deal in 2
Purchased these boots not long ago and have wore them for around 2 months and have worn them Monday to Thursday for the last month and have noticed the back on one boot has started to rip (see above photo) the boots were nice and easy on the feet for walking all day. If the company would like to fix this issue and send a replacement pair that would be nice and redeem my faith in this company.

Juste wow

Lightweight and breathable
Great boots for dry conditions - cordura fabric isn't at all waterproof but it is cool and breathable. Good cushioning walking on the dirt road. I replaced the top lace eyelets with speed hooks so they're easier to put on and lace up. Minimal tread pattern doesn't pick up as much mud as my other boots and it's easy to scrap off.

Amazing fit and comfort
The shoes are light and supportive. I have had few different boots before but nothing has been as comfortable as these.Did a short run in the shoes and it was comfortable like running shoes.
