This item reminds me of the old Othello board we had.....and thought we lost until it showed up right after we received this one! So, we were able to compare them side by side. This board wins the quality award. Love the storage for the pieces and the pieces are as smooth and fun to play with as we remember. Coolest thing is that I won the first game handily (although I don't think future games will be quite that easy). Nice price for the quality.

This game brings me back to my adolescence. My sister and I would play, growing up. This game is a little bit of strategy, a little bit of luck and a whole lot of fun! This is similar to checkers with a twist. Requires some forward thinking and strategy. If you love these kind of games this game is for you.

I love this classic game. The game pieces are a nice thickness and weight. The velvet covered board is great. The pieces fit in little drawers. Great quality.

The rules of Othello r simple but even as one picks up strategies, the direction of the game can change abruptly! It’s a good-natured family game and I also play it solo to relax. The felted green board and smooth-to-the-touch discs add to the relaxing effect of an unhurried, low-pressure game w unexpected surprises.

It's a great, easy but fun game, but - I had this game as a child in Soviet Union, where quality toys, especially made of plastic, were very lacking. Yet, mine had these rotating covers to securely keep game pieces in their two gutters as storage compartments when the game is stored away. This one doesn't have it, which means you have to set the pieces for each player every time you take it out of the box, where they either fly all over, or you have to store them in a ziplock. For shame.

Othello has been a favorite family game for 4 generations now! This year I’m given it to my teen age Great Grandson! Great quality and 6-7 year olds can play it too! I highly recommend this game.. it is a two person game though!

The box says easy to learn; a lifetime to master. So there's a challenge for you. I played this in my 20's and have returned 50 years later. It's still a great game for young and old. The box is sturdy, the pieces will last forever and same with the board. The instructions are interesting starting with the basic's. After that there is a section on strategy. We are purposely staying away from that to see how we adapt with the basics. We'll get to trickery later.

Couldn’t find this game in any stores but found it here ! Very fun and easy to learn game !
