iDesign Plastic Kitchen Mat Sink Protector, The Euro Collection - 11" x 12", White

Ordered this for my Mom. She likes to use these to prevent scratches in her sink. This fits perfectly and has suction cups to keep it in place.

I purchased this for my Kohler sink and it does the job. I was concerned about the width dimension listed as it indicated 1.35 wide. my width on the center part of sink is 2.25 Then it showed that I bought the same item before so I bought it. It works great for our use of protecting the center divider. I see the suction cups don't keep it tight on the sides but I didn't put a lot of time and effort to worry get it right because the side we wash the dishes in we have a plastic dish pan and the other side we have a dish rack so it holds the sides in. As far as cleaning if you keep on top of it, it should be fine. I will buy again.

We just got a new stainless steel double kitchen sink with a 1-inch divider. I saw a lot of reviews for this mat that stated that the suction cups on it do not work, but I ordered it because it had the narrowest spine of all of the mats I could find on Amazon. It is true that the suction cups do not work even when they are wet, but this mat is still better than nothing because it is clear and pliable and does a decent job protecting the sink from my dishes and my dishes from the sink. Update: The suction cups didn't work at first, but after a while, the mat relaxed, and the suction cups now work.

I was hesitant on buying this particular saddle for my sink since some of the reviews were less than stellar (didn't suction to my sink; curled up at the ends). I really needed to get something to use to rest heavier pots and pans on to scrub so I took a risk and bought the iDesign plastic saddle. When it arrived, I immediately took it to the sink and was more than disappointed when the suction cups would not adhere to the stainless steel sink. BUT! Hold on.....let's try water. Eureka. Immediate adherence to both sides of the sink! The top lays completely flat and didn't curl at the ends either. Once it was in place, fast forward and it's still nice and snug and in place. I can still clean under it by sliding it up (or of course it can be completely removed for cleaning) and simply by spraying each side with a bit of water, it's back in place. I'm very happy with the performance of this saddle thus far. I hope this helps you make a more informed decision if you are shopping for something to protect your sink from scratching. UPDATE January 2024: Purchased in March of 2023 and all was well....for a while. Sad to say, while the saddle is still in good shape, the suction cups absolutely lost all their suction power. I thought I had conquered the issue by running the mat in the upper-most 3rd rack of the dishwasher to give it a thorough cleaning and it seemed to solve the problem but it was not to last. No matter what I do now it slips and slides and refuses to stay in place. Sigh. The only bright spot (cough) is that the price has dropped a couple bucks since I made the purchase. Not sure what my next move will be; to buy another one knowing it will only last about 10 months or do I keep looking for something better?

Overall this is a GOOD product, good quality, nice length - one of the longer ones you are going to find online. The suction cups work pretty well for me on my stainless sink. Yes they do pop off every now and then, but most suction cups do and honestly you are constantly bumping against this thing and pouring water and soap around it so you SHOULD expect it to move. I ordered one of these 1-1/2 years ago thru Home Depot for $2 less, but they are now selling it for the same price as Amazon. Basically it will only last about that long before discoloring, perhaps longer if your sink doesn't have a window in front of it. Do NOT put it in the dishwasher as that is how I recently ruined mine - it warped it. I had always washed it by hand and then decided to give it a deep clean which did not work out. On top of a stainless divider you don't really notice the discoloration that much. I never noticed discoloration from food products, but you should take the thing off and clean it if you are constantly washing dishes, as opposed to just rinsing them off, in your sink. And yes, you do have to clean underneath it every so often or it will get scummy. I would definitely recommend this if you need a sink saddle. I am very satisfied with how mine has held up and it has saved the divider on my newer sink from scratches. Overlook the silly complaints in the reviews and buy it. So you have to buy another one in a year or so - big deal.

Great as a protector when washing big things in the sink. I've purchased more and gave as gifts. I've purchased it for each of my rental homes kitchen. You won't regret buying this.

Bought this mat to replace a newish Rubbermaid one, which got stained. The first test for this new one was spaghetti sauce. It did not stain. I didn't pour it on the mat or anything, but when I washed dishes, it didn't harm the mat. First time I had sauce with the Rubbermaid one, it stained so badly, nothing would take it out, not Oxy, not bleach. Only problem with this iDesign mat is that the suction cups just don't work. I think because they are so small. This causes the mat to move around, and flip up on the ends. I'll live with the movement as long as this mat stays clean and white! updated 4/6/2020 Well, it is no longer clean & white! Very disappointed that the mat is blotchy all over from sloppy joe sauce, and spaghetti sauce. It looks terrible, just like the other brands. Waste of money.

No esperaba que fuera flexible pero le quedó como anillo al dedo en mi cocina por qué así lo ajustas a la medida y los chupones que tienen agarran bien en la parte donde está para fijar, solo se debe lavar de vez en cuando la parte de abajo para que el chupón agarré con fuerza ya que con la grasa se puede despegar,lo puse en una base de granito y como fue echo a medida no es común el espacio, excelente!

It fitted very well on my kitchen sink. Very happy with the purchase.

Works great

Quite expensive for something that stains easily when simply rinsing off plates, especially food like bolognaise, shepherds pie or curry. Food constantly trapped under mat. There are Cheaper and more robust alternatives out there for half the price - Don’t waste your money.
