HORIZON PET NUTRITION Legacy Adult Grain Free, Non GMO, Meat Dense Dry Dog Food

We have been feeding this food to our dog for over 3 years. Another site stopped stocking it, so we switched to Amazon. Also, don't let the cost fool you. a 55lb dog only needs around 1 cup of this food a day. If it wasnt a grain free dog food, triple it(at least).The cost is around the same as your normal big box dog food when the amount you need to feed your dogs are taken into consideration. We have 2 35lb and one 55lb dog and this food lasts around 5 weeks per bag.Our dogs always get a great bill of health from the Vet also on our yearly checkups.

I have 6 dogs(large) GSD, Cane Corso, etc. I have tried so many different dog foods. Some like one and not the other. One has grain allergy...Searching for what would be the perfect dog food for my pack, I came across Horizon Legacy and read the ingredients and it looked like something that everyone would like and was extremely nutritious I bought a small bag at first and they ate it up fast ...I then purchased the large bag. They loved it. They never finished the dry food with the other brands. With Legacy they gobble up the food entirely. Never leave anything. In fact lately they are having a new agenda. They love it with Lactose milk..eat it like we eat cereal an milk. Give it to them once a week. I found one dog pushing open the dog box and eating it loose. It must taste good. I am very happy so far with this product and mostly are the dogs..

I read a lot about various wet and dry dog foods. Our 12 year old beagle is in great shape but seems to have a food allergy. We go to the vet and spend hundreds to get a few prescriptions that knock down the reaction. Skin dryness, itching and once in a while she can lose fur. We found that the right shampoo helps as well as the right food. We spend the money up front on good food and we don't have the skin or allergy issues. We've found the taste and size of the nugget really went over well with the dog.It's expensive but I'd rather pay for premium dog food than for my veterinarian's new Jaguar or his new golf clubs. A vet visit seems to be more expensive than a Costco visit. I love my dog but the vet bills were too much. We've found a better way to keep the dog healthy now.

I slowly added this food to my dogs old food as recommended. It gave my dog terrible GAS! It ran us out of the house! Not buying it again. Didn't work well for my dog at all.

My dog needs a good grain free food or he has a constant case of the runs and terrible dandruff. This food is great quality, digests well, and leaves him with a shiny coat. He loves it and everytime I've tried something else I end up coming back to Horizon Legacy because he does so well on it.

I needed something potato free and it was hard to find. My dogs like this. I usually get the fish flavor and went back to it after the one bag of chicken but I had no issues.

My dog really likes this food and she is picky! The only difficulty is that the portion sizes seem inaccurate as it calls for less food than similar brands and my dog tends to finish it and still seems hungry (and she is not a big eater). It just makes it hard to determine correct portion size.

Great ingredients, completely grain and gluten free. This is the Bentley of dog kibbles. My dog has severe allergies, other high end foods have not been pure enough for him. Even BARF and other alternative diets have not worked. We do a mixture of this kibble and home cooked, and it has saved his life. I cannot recommend this food enough! I recommend it to everyone!
