Almost Shockingly Good
I ordered this as a replacement for a failing Honeywell humidifier in a room where we store wine. We live in high desert and the humidity is typically below 25% and often 10% or below.I settled on the Levoit 6000s after considering several units of similar size. Unpacking it, this seems like a well built and very well designed humidifier. The capacity should be more than up to the job of keeping our room "wine comfortable" long enough to account for any time we are away.I've only had this running for three days now, but a couple of things impress me. First, it is quiet as compared to the other humidifiers I have used. Noise is not really an issue in the room this is used, but the difference is noticeable. Second, the humidifier does an excellent job of keeping the humidity near what I have set, as measured by a separate sensor located on the other side of the room. According to that sensor, the Levoit 6000s maintains the humidity level and is very accurate. The faucet hose attachment that is included is a nice feature. Lugging water containers back and forth has always been a dreaded chore, and this will eliminate the need for that.I'm not generally a big fan of app-controlled features on appliances, but the app for this product is pretty good. The main thing I use it for is checking up on it, but it is easy enough and has not thrown any fits. It's a good feature. After this short of time, the unit also seems efficient. The water usage is less than the old Honeywell unit while maintaining the humidity level. I saw another reviewer say this humidifier is doing the work of two of his old units, and I think that is consistent with the efficiency I have seen so far.The Levoit 6000s is about twice the price of the other units I looked at, but thus far I think it exemplifies the old saying, "you get what you pay for." Assuming it holds up (and from the way it is built, I expect it will), this is the best portable humidifier I have owned.

Powerful, quiet and no white dust!
Excellent replacement if you're tired of white dust from ultrasonic humidifiers and the noise and hassle of evaporative humidifiers. We had a traditional powerful evaporative humidifier which was good but extremely noisy. We switched to a powerful ultrasonic unit which worked week by turning the room into a fog machine and leaving white dust everywhere. Both of these could do 10 gal per day max but they had too many drawbacks to use at that level.I am so glad we found this Levoit because not only is it much quieter than I thought it would be for an evaporative humidifier, but on High setting it has been even more powerful at humidifying our main floor than the other humidifiers. Thankfully we don't even need to run it on high to maintain 45% on 1000 sq ft, and it's very quiet and fan speed 2 of 3. High speed 3 of 3 is still noisy, but insanely powerful and nowhere near as noisy as other large evaporative humorists I have tried.Refilling is also easy for a tank that holds 6 gal thanks to the included extension filler hose (as long as you can roll the tank to/from your sink). The caster wheels work very well on a flat hardwood floor. The app has all the features would expect and you can also control this via Alexa. My only complaint is that the Auto mode is not configurable for some reason. It has present humidity and fan speed based on temperature. There are many other ways to control humidity manually so it hasn't been a big negative, but it seems like a huge oversight for such an otherwise great device. This is a very unique and clever design for an evaporative humidifier where the wicks stay above the water and are wet by a pump. Really protects the effectiveness of the wicks so you always get full power compared to other machines that soak them in the tank. I can't speak to long term reliability since I've only had a month or so. I use a small amount of evaporative humidifier cleaning agent with each refill (although no recommended by Levoit) and empty the tank before I refill it, and it's still spotless. Love it!
