For emergency survival
I would like to start out by saying the order I received had only 19 bags. I took them all out and counted several times. Upon examination, 3 of the bags didn't have a proper seal across the bottom. A gap in the seal that leaked water when I tested it but probably not big enough to effect it's use for contracting clean up. I contacted plastic place first to see what could be done about these issues and they informed me that I would have to contact Amazon since they were the ones who fulfilled my order. But they told me if Amazon gave me a hard time to call them back and they would resolve it. 5 stars for their customer service. Amazon did offer me the choice between a partial refund or if I wanted to send it back they could fully refund or replace the order. I chose a partial refund and I'm happy with it. 5 stars for Amazon customer service as well.I am using 55 gallon contractor bags in my survival kit. They have multiple uses in a survival situation and are great to have in your go bag. It was a choice between these or Suncast Commercial precise fit contractor bags also in 6 mil thickness which is the bag that is recommended by Corporals Corner YouTube and influencer page. For a quick comparison these are $1.70 per bag or $1.75 per bag if you buy 25 compared to Suncast at $3.37 per bag for 15 bags. Another difference between the 2 bags is the size. These are 36"x58" ( some reviewers said they didn't fit over the lip of their 55 gallon drum or trashcan. I cannot attest to this as this isn't my purpose for these bags) compared to "42"x54" for Suncast. Other than that they are both 6 mil and they are both flat bottom ( I think plastic place recently went to flat bottom so some older reviews said they had gusseted bottoms but the ones I got were flat as per the description). When it comes to price alone it's a no-brainer. These are adequate and you will save some money to spend on other things for your survival kit. If you are looking for a bag that is roomier for use as an emergency bivvy or wider to cut open and use as a tarp or ground cloth then go with the Suncast. These are perfectly big enough for me to get into and are taller than the Suncast bags and they make a big enough ground cover or tarp for the whole family( if you cut them open) or even bigger if you want to put 2 of them together with some gorilla tape. As for uses such as carrying water or as a makeshift floatation device I would advise that you quickly check over the seem along the bottom just to be sure there is a good seam. On the few that had small defects in the seam: I tested by filling up with about 2-3 gallons of water and twisted the top. Leakage was minimal and upon applying pressure to the bag with the top sealed ( basically sitting on the bag) the leakage stopped altogether. I would say you're good to go even if you had to grab them and go without checking the seal. For flotation you would probably be good enough to get yourself to the other side of a body of water but if you think you might be adrift at sea check the seal first before you put them in your bag. These are heavy duty and will not puncture when using them to gather kindling and wood for your fire. I also like that the box they come in has a perforated punch out in the top for easy dispensing. They are folded individually not on a roll. The long story short:. Buy these bags. I would trust my survival to them and the excellent customer service really gives you the peace of mind and isn't that what prepping is all about after all.

Amazingly strong trash bags.
Wow! I'm use to 3 mil bags that I've always used. These 6 mil bags are a great idea for bagging construction debris that has been cut to drop into the bag. Our trash service provider will only accept 40 lbs per bag and these will do that easily. Great buy, but use them wisely because they're not cheap.

You get what you pay for
These are the best contractor bags we have ever used. Very thick, sturdy. A little pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Will buy again when needed.

Contractor Trash Bags 55-60 Gallon, 6.0 Mil
55 gallon trash bags are hard to find at my local hardware store; especially 6.0 mil. thickness bags. These bags are multi use. Sure, you can use them for trash can liners, but there are many other uses such as emergency bush craft shelters. A few years ago, I somehow forgot to pack a sleeping bag on a summer camping trip, but since I carry two trash bags in my car kit, I was able to fashion a shelter and stay out of the elements. These bags can also be used as flotation devices, or they can be used to keep your gear dry in wet weather. Very versatile item.

Great bags for packing random stuff and construction debris
Great bags but pricy. I can't believe they should cost this much but when it comes to durrability they stand out.

Super Heavy Duty For Sure!!!
These bags are stronger and more heavy duty than I even imagined. Plus they’re huge! Exactly what I needed for storing my built in pool cover. Not cheap but if you need reliable strength, these are it.
