I purchased this for my 9 year old daughter on the autism spectrum. She loves Orca whales and anything soft. I ended up sewing it into a weighted blanket/snuggly, and she loves it! It is holding up beautifully with 10lbs of poly pellets sandwiched between the back and front covers. She can lay the whole thing over top of her body, or snuggle it, or wrap herself in it due to the large size. I washed mine prior to sewing it up to account for any shrinkage, as I do all new clothing or fabric, and it is holding up beautifully. I haven't had any issues with fading or falling apart. My 25 year old daughter came home and saw it, and now she wants one. She wants hers sewn up and stuffed into a full-body pillow. Such a cool item that you can use as is or customize for any whale lover.

My daughters were crazy with the similar product advertised on TV. When I saw it (the one ffrom TV) in a store, I wasn't thrilled for the quality vs price.I ordered this one and although more expensive, the quality is there. It's big (even a teenager could use, I guess I could if I tried!), and it's soft and thick.I ordered another one on Amazon for another daughter and it feels very cheap (she chose it for the matching one for her lovey) (no lining, not thick,...)I just wished more models would be offered by Lovely Pumpkins (penguin, "mermaid",...) so I could buy another one!

I purchased this for a gift and I'm so happy that I did! I looked at other seller's similar styles, but I wanted an Orca and also one that was well made. This is sooooo darn cute! The fabric is incredibly soft and the lining is the same soft fabric. It's well made and nicely designed. The sleeping bag is large and will be able to be used for several years...I bought this for a 5 yr old. He can sleep beneath it or snuggle inside. The stuff/carrying bag that is included makes it perfect to take for overnights with friends or at Grandma's house. I'm happy that I read the reviews and decided to go with this seller...the quality shows!

Great grandson was upset because his 2 female cousins received mermaid sleeping bags/blankets recently. I decided he needed something similar but more for a boy and then I saw these and read the great comments. Well made, shipped promptly, and come in their own neat storage bag. Quality product that will last the little guy for quite awhile and will make him very happy and he'll feel special again!

Well it's been a couple of weeks since my son has had the orca tail blanket. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the product handled normal "kid use". I am so happy to report that it has withstood all of the common things kids do with blankets...imaginative play, walking with feet in the fins of the blanket, etc. .the material is thick and soft and very durable. My son LOVES this blanket. I am so pleased with the product and will recommend it to others!

The blanket is very soft and durable. The material is not to thick or too thin just the right amount of material to keep a person warm at night. I love the fact it came with a carrying case for packing. My granddaughter loves it so much she uses it every night and takes it with her on sleep overs.

This is the first time I have ever reviewed an item. My son loves this blanket. His sister had gotten a mermaid blanket from a different store, and he badly wanted a matching blanket for himself. It was quite a bit more expensive than the mermaid blanket, but when it arrived, I was blown away. Very high quality, so I was happy to pay more. It's super soft, thick, and durable, He actually uses it like a sleeping bag. I would definitely re order from this company, and also use it to purchase gifts for friends and family.
