The install and setup was extremely easy. It replaced a Viofo dash cam that kept erroring out. This one is easy to configure and has great video quality. Overall seems much more reliable. We have had 2 accidents where our dash cans have save us. I highly recommend getting this one due to the quality and reliability.

After buying multiple dash cams and returning them due to difficult installation issues this was an awesome surprise it really as simple as the video shows. The picture is clear and it even came with a plastic trim removal tool and a small SD card reader. The only difficulty I encountered was connecting with the iphone it’s a little tricky but after a few minutes I got it! Looks factory when done with no external wiring running all over the place! Definitely a recommend buy if your looking for a dash cam for driving and don’t want to pay through the nose!

2021 4Runner: Much like the other reviews this product is an easy plug and play, less than 10 minutes to hook up. However it took me nearly an hour to figure out how to put the wires inside the housing so it all fit. I was ready to give up at multiple points. Once it is installed the product is excellent and picture is very clear. Update: 1 weeks later, Wifi is inconsistent and is broadcasting a different wifi than the original setup. I now have two cameras on my app and can’t connect to either. Wifi shows up maybe one out of every 10 times. Update 2: I contacted customer support and they worked with me through the whole process. They were extremely helpful and responsive. In the end they ended up sending me a new unit in exchange for the old one. The new unit came with improved cable lengths so the install took less than 20 minutes this time. So this one was improved over the first one. Would recommend this if even for the excellent support I received.

The camera is awesome, excellent video quality. The only down fall is installing the camera. There should a little more room for the wires to fit in there so your not fighting so much to get the clips in correctly. I ended up breaking one of the clips but it still sits snuck enough where it’s not going to fall off.

I found the installation very simple and straight-forward. Took me all of about 10-15 minutes. I watched the video x2 and read the enclosed instruction x2 as well. My only difficulty (minor) was connecting it to my phone. I'm not the most tech savvy person, so it did take me a few attempts and again a reread of the enclosed instructions helped. Bottom line in under a 1/2 hour dashcam is fully functional and with a quick trip "around the block" I was able to download the video. Video is very clear including driving from bright sunlight then into my dark garage, camera adjusted well to the change in light and works great. Very clean and have others have noted a very OEM install. I'm hopeful eh camera will last and with only one-day use I'm happy with it!

Install can be a bit tricky but take your time and make sure the clips are on and you’re not forcing anything. I have a 2023 4Runner and it fits perfectly. Replaces my old dash cam where I had to snake wires through my floor boards and side panels. Also gives 4K quality video. Time will tell if it’s worth the price but hopefully I never have to rely on it. Would rather pay a little extra for piece of mind than be left in a bad situation.

The housing is very tight so cables have to be positioned just right in order to fit. Cheap plastic. Broke two tabs while installing without much pressure. Reached out to costumer service which was just alright. They sent me a replacement housing. Followed the instructional video and housing was easy to replace. After I got everything connected and installed the unit wouldn’t power on. Now I’m dealing with costumer service again.

This model Fitcamx has been installed in a 2022 Toyota 4Runner Limited with Safety Sense for a few weeks. Installation was worrisome at first, regarding the closing of the camera cover with the extra wires, as people have mentioned. I found that by threading the camera cable and connector under the other non-disconnected plug toward the top and additionally placing the added harness horizontally across the center into the most recessed place possible, my camera/cover slid right together and snapped closed. As for performance, I'm satisfied, particularly with the way it looks like an integral part of the vehicle. The only part visible from inside the vehicle is it drops about an inch below the rearview mirror, from outside its very hard to discern. I'm satisfied with the quality of video and picture. In a perfect world I might ask for a few changes: like many dash cams, about a full 1/3 of your recorded view will be just hood..and you can't adjust the cam's angle; there's no GPS tracking (but on the other hand, no speed tracking); the download speed of the videos seems very slow, but I have no way to measure the speed. I'm satisfied and happy to have it on guard for me while driving. Any small shortcomings are more than offset by the two most important features, the built-in look and quality of video. I waited a few months before purchasing till somebody else went first. So far, very good.
