Item has a threaded end on it, but not in the photo. Set screw works anyway once you take the snap ring off. Perfect out of box purchase.

Direct fit
This is a great product direct fit . The update version that u will receive has a small washer on the push button stem , don’t worry it will fit just nicely , that’s just and updated attachment . Won’t have any effect on installation.

Water diverter valve, not working correctly
Water diverter was the correct window order however, it did not fix the problem. It actually made the issue worse so I had to put the original one back in my professional plumber. Thanks for reaching out sincerely, Cal.

works as good as the faucet did when it was new
Item as described, works as good as the faucet did when it was new. Kohler's are not the cheapest out there, but their quality is above the rest. 20+ years old and this is the first issue with this faucet.

Received Product Doesn't Match Photo
Maybe this will work. Don't know yet. Amazon photo shows a smooth protruding axial cylinder (same as my Kohler OEM diverter). Received product is threaded at the end with an o-ring and large diameter metal clip below the threading. My diverter button has a 1/16 inch hex set screw meant to grab a smooth cylinder. Will the hex set screw adequately grab the threaded end? Don't know. Anyway, product received does NOT match the Amazon photo. Upgrading to 4 stars after install. Works. Doesn't exactly match photo, but works. If you need it, you need it. Had to use a serrated knife and needle nose pliers to remove enough of the plastic mud guard ring to allow access to the old diverter using a 7/8" deep socket. Required a little bit of effort, but worth it to have a functioning guest shower again.

False picture.
What you receive is not what is depicted in the advertising. I received a threaded diverter shaft. Completely set me back with my plumbing repairs. Angry!
