ESV Gospel of John, Share the Good News Edition (Paperback)

This is perfect for my Bible Study on John. It is nice to carry to the church instead of my big Bible. I still study from my big Bible at home but this small book is so much easier to bring back and forth with me. It does include the chapters and verses which is a plus. I recommend this to anyone who is studying the Gospel of John and wants a little book to carry.

I can't argue with the content, and it's nice looking. I had hoped it would be hardbound, but it's close enough. This is intended to be carried around in a backpack or big pocket for someone who spends a lot of time in nature. One doesn't need a lot of "begats" and/or thundering tirades against the rebellious citizens of B'gazframmitar (or some such archaic dump) to experience holy wisdom in nature--the Gospel of John is a dependable and beautiful companion for all who love the words of Jesus and the stories of his disciples.

I found a worn copy of this book at a laundry, I left it, and ordered a copy from Amazon. I have several Bibles with different styles. ESV is surprisingly clear without losing historical style or message. Much of the gospel of John is a dreamscape, not literal reality, it's CGI on a page and it works well. The signs John speak of symbolize the mission and intent of Jesus. All of it challenges the reader to consider what Christianity is about. This little book is well made, in China of all places. The paper is solid and the font just right for old eyes. Anyone who likes things that bring delight will enjoy owing this booklet.

Very nice small booklet for the gospel of John. I like that it does have red lettering for Jesus’ words. I gave one as a gift and then gave two to a woman in our church who works with the homeless.I do recommend and plan to buy again.

The cover, the font type and the colors are beautiful, this edition is perfect for gifting to friends, totally recommendable as a first contact with the word of God. Small, light, and there is a chapter at the end about how to become a christian.
