defective
one wire inside the cable is intermittent. The wire connecting pin 11 disconnects if the cable is flexed near the center. The shipping was excessive, and even though I was notified that it was at the pitney bowes facility in my city before Christmas, I had to wait til the "best before" date before it was finally delivered. This left my project on hold for a long time, and now with an unusable cable, I'm on hold again. I bought it intending to cut it in half because I needed two male connectors with cable for my 3d printer. I cut it to connect to my machine, but the break in the wire is a meter further upstream.

Allowed me to connect an old computer to a newer LCD monitor
I needed to hook up an old G3 Mac to a newer LCD monitor and this cable did the trick. The length was perfect too, as I didn’t need to move my existing computer / monitor setup to make the connection. So far, it’s been very reliable.
