I use 3/0 hooks for fishing the Sky Way Bridge in Tampa Florida. We have problems with high end hooks pulling and bending. So I took a chance on these and they are definitely more beefy. My guess is they are a guage thicker than Owner or Gamakatsu.

I wasn't familiar with the brand, but once they arrived, I was pleased with the thickness of the hooks. The eyes are fairly generous, too. Ordered several sizes from #6 to 5/0 for my panfish and catfishing poles. My wife got to truly test the 1/0 when she hooked a giant common carp. That thing was at least a 10-12 lb fish, but since we were in our kayaks with no net to land it, I had to cut it loose. The hook, however, looked just like it did when it came out of the box. No atraightening. Will definitely buy again.

I normally only use Owner hooks and these are just as good! Used them for the first time recently, and constistently pulled up 15-22lb grouper with no problems. And the value, you just can't beat!! Already been telling my friends and giving some away to try.

I’ve bought about 250 of these hooks. They work great in the Clearwater gulf waters. Total grouper killers. Best Buy I’ve made una while. Tough sharp and very well made. Same quality as those high end brands
