No, it isn't. The OEM kitchenaid grease is real grease. For many years (and maybe still today), kitchenaid sourced this grease from Shell oil. The OEM grease is the right consistency and sticks to the gears. this is a poor substitute from china. Wrong consistency, wrong lubricating properties, and doesn't hold up. I used it once and it totally failed (the grease broke down in a couple of months of moderate use). My experience is that if you use this, your machine will fail again within a few months because of this poor grease and you will wish you had used better grease. Happened to me. It is hard to get the "real" kitchenaid OEM grease on amazon in small quantities (35 pound pails are standard), but this https://www.amazon.com/MICROLUBROL-Kitchen-Bearing-4176597-Benalene/dp/B086JF33N6 is very close. I have repaired several kitchenaids with it and had NO problems, even years later. Also - don't be misled by "food grade" label. It may be food grade, but it is not the right grease for your mixer. No, the OEM grease that came in your machine from the factory is not "food grade". However, the grease should never be leaking into your food. If it does, you need to fix your machine.
