Wonderful French press. Better than ones that are twice the price. I highly recommend.07/11/2017 Update to previous review, after I stupidly bent the plunger shaft ( a long story), I contacted El Gato Malo about purchasing a replacement part, much to my amazement they offered to send me a new press at no cost under their lifetime warranty. I could hardly believe it, they could easily have said that was a dumb thing to do, sorry can't help you.It is a rare and wonderful thing to encounter such outstanding customer service these days. If I could give them a ten star rating I would.

Love this coffee press. I do not know why people are saying it does not stay hot. You have to rotate the lid cap to block the pour spout opening and it will stay hot a nice long time. It is nice to make a full pot and wait a bit before your next cup and have it nice and hot again, as apposed to the glass which you must drink it fairly quickly if you live in a cooler climate.

Great French Press. I prefer stainless steel to glass so I can take it camping. I had a previous stainless steel press, but it had a hard rubber handle which caught fire one day. This pot is all steel so that can't happen. The sides of this pot are also very well insulated so it keeps the coffee hot for much longer.

Makes a delicious cup of coffee - I made mine a bit on the bold side. Was very impressed with its straining abilities - virtually no grounds passed through to my mug using a coarse grind coffee.

the fill line in the deluxe version is a very nice feature. No other french press seems to have that.seller is very responsive to questions or issues..

This is well made and very nice looking, but the best part about it is the heat retention! That's always the downside to making a press: if it's just a glass one, the coffee has already cooled a little before you even pour. But with this thermal press, it's still hot 20 minutes later!

I'm surprised at how much I like it. I've never used a French Press before so I can't make any comparisons. I just like it, it's the right size for one person, easy to use and clean. And it's cute. I know cute might not be important but it's a nice bonus. I'm not at all surprised at all the positive reviews.I received this at a discount and that made it even better.
