Easy to assemble and works as expected
Karcher K1700 pressure washer: Assembly is very easy -- wheels and handle. If you just use the supplied hose then screw it on to the outlet and onto the spray nozzle. Screw the garden hose adapter on and screw a garden hose on. Plug it in and it should work, mine did. I bought a Karcher because a review by Pan the Organizer who said his Karcher K5 lasted 10 years and still works but it was time to get a new pressure washer. As I recall he thought Karcher had a superior pump. I watched a couple reviews of the K-1700 as well. So, as I had no idea and the K-1700 seemed what I was looking for, I bought it. I have light work -- a small cement patio, some siding and vehicles. Note that the high-pressure fittings are M22-14 not M22-15 as many electric pressure washers use so I ended up ordering another set. I knew the foam cannon used M22-14 when I bought it. I didn't see any reference to the fittings in the Karcher manual or brochure. I did see that some Karcher products fit the K2 or K5 but not the K-1700 but was left to assume why. I guess Karcher wants us to buy their brand. I added some quick disconnect fittings. I had a leak on the appliance end of the pressure hose. It seemed the o-ring on the hose is too large and was pushed down when I inserted/screwed the quick disconnect on. I took an o-ring off another fitting and the same thing happened. I then added a garden hose washer to the supplied pressure hose fitting after cutting it down so it fit and replaced the o-ring with a piece of Teflon packing "string" which fit into the o-ring groove perfectly. I used silicon grease to get it to stay put. No leaks. I was testing with a car wash foam cannon which worked very well and produced a persistent snow foam coating. The pressure hose went onto the pressure washer without any leaks. The garden hose adapter leaked some, but I didn't tighten with a wrench which I'll do next time. I ordered another quick connect set for the high pressure fitting on the K-1700 and a couple different sets of o-rings to have on-hand. The electric cord wraps nicely on the supplied handle arms. CONS: 1. Nozzle storage is limited to two regular nozzles and one hybrid rotating type nozzle (as supplied). So, I don't have a place to put other nozzles except in a bag in the storage box. 2. No built-in good way to keep the supplied pressure hose coiled neatly on the unit. The hose is a little stiff and making it fit in the storage box may not work well or conveniently and being slick plastic will likely push out. I added a piece of PVC pipe that went through the handle and that keeps the pressure hose coiled up around the handle and the storage bin. I'll fit it with some closed cell foam to keep it in place as I want to be able to remove it. My initial impression is that I think the supplied hose will work for me but time will tell if a longer, more flexible hose will be needed. The K1700 seems like a good unit overall particularly for the price. I cannot see paying lots for something I don't expect to use that often. Winter storage: per the manual, be sure to run it out of water. It seems that water runs out when I tilt it to the inlet fitting but the manual said to run it until just out of water. I think I can handle that.

Good product, great price...
Great little pressure washer for what it is, So far it has dine the job. I use it manly to wash my cars, so I can't really comment if does bigger "things". I bought this for Black Friday so it was under $100 bucks, can't complaint.

Not worth full price but good for a used price
Seems ok for only paying 60 bucks used for it. About the pressure of a car wash. Don't think it will do concrete or anything like that. I would never pay full price for it though. I would definitely return it if I had paid that for it and just got gas. On the pro side its compact and light which is nice. Gas ones can get cumbersome. It's only 20lbs. Seems to be cheaply made too, as far as the wheels and handles and such. Update after a year. I gave it another star. Its been pretty bulletproof over the last year. Works good for cars and such. Much easier than dragging out a gas model and no stale gas to worry about. Not sure i would still pay full price for it but I would recommend it now.

Inexpensive and a Powerful Pressure Washer ~ Saved me tons of money in concrete color costs
I bought this in July and have not had time to open it and see what I got for my $100 during that big sale. It was 50% off. I live at the beach and have colored concrete around both sides of my home and during these last two years and all the rain here in Cali on the Central Coast I ended up with mold in the concrete and on my retaining walls. The concrete mold would NOT wash off so I thought, what the heck I am going to try a power washer and do it myself before forking out money to have my concrete recolored. Mold on concrete can be dangerous to your health and can cause allergic reactions, respiratory problems, and lung infections. Mold can appear in different colors, such as black, green, white, or brown, and can have a fuzzy, slimy, or powdery texture so it must be treated. I opened the box and the instructions were very easy to follow. I put on the wheels, struggled a little putting on the handle because it didn't fit great, so don't force it, just keep trying and once you get it in, it will click and be fine. The nozzles store easily on the unit. I did have an issue with the way the water hose attaches. The first piece you screw/twist on goes one direction and when you screw on the hose it goes the other direction, so a couple of times it would leak where the water hose attaches. I had to move it from one side of the house to the other so the second time I attached the water hose I was sure it was secure. It still leaked water but not as much and it didn't take any pressure away. I was barefoot and three times I ran that pressure spray over my foot and wow, that hurts. Don't make the mistake of plugging it into an outside plug outlet where it cannot lay it completely flat. My outlets have that plastic cover with a latch at the bottom so getting the plug to lay flat could not happen. I did this because I was rushing and it didn't occur to me it needed to be secure and flat. I could never get the machine to come on (motor sound) when I pressed to foot pedal, not thinking about the connection. It would still spray water in a trickle but no motor would come on. I moved the plug to my garage where it could be completely flat and it worked fine. The long cord was really nice to have so you can move around easily. The one thing I disliked was when I pulled or pushed the unit to move forward, it was difficult at times because the hose screws in on the side of the unit and hose curves because you have the hose in the front of the unit when you are working so when you pull it, its turns sideways. It was a minor issue. The pressure power was great. I used water only without any soap and was able to spray my vinyl fence down to clear all the spider webs and dirt. I cleaned my house walls which are stucco and my downstairs windows. I mostly concentrated on my colored concrete walkways. I used the large strongest nozzle and made small circles on the mold stains that were deep in the concrete. You can see in the pictures what looks like drops of paint that are Brown. And on the retaining wall it is just Green. I really thought I was going to have to pay to have my cement ground down and repainted. After a few hours I was finished and it looks brand new. I turned off the hose and sprayed out the remaining water. I unplugged the unit. Removed the hose from the wand and the unit and drained that water from the hose and put it away! I plan on taking it to my upper two decks to spray the ceiling of each deck next. I would recommend this unit. "I'm just a girl ~ one happy girl"

Cleans ok......but the struggle is real!
I like the idea of this product, the reality is much different. The biggest issue is leakage at the inlet valve. No matter what we tried it still leaked.....a LOT! Every time I moved the machine it leaked more. The hose is also very stiff and cumbersome to use. Would it eventually get better with use? I'll never know because this issue combined with the leak is too much for me to deal with. It does have a good amount of pressure, cleaned my concrete and siding ok.

Who needs more than 1700PSI.
I have owned gas washers for 30 years. They always seem to last only one or two seasons. I am just a homeowner that cleans cars, driveway, siding and screens on the patio and front deck. This is the best pressure washer I have ever had. It does just as good as the 3000 PSI gas washers I have been buying for a third of the price. Very impressed with the ease of using and not having to fight the engine the get it started. Also very light. Just received yesterday and cleaned my 4 car driveway in one and a half hours. For North Georgia that is a record. Love it.

Great for car washing and removing dirt and pollen from the deck. Very easy to setup and use.
I’m a typical suburban home owner and after tons of research it was clear that the K1700 is the best choice for an around-the-house pressure washer. Check out Matt’s review of this unit on the Obsessed Garage YouTube channel for a very detailed performance test and rundown of its features. He personally tested around 30 electric pressure washers and found that he K1700 actually had more flow (1.45 GPM) than the competition, including more expensive models and even more than Karcher’s K4 and K5. Due to its performance and features he chose the K1700 exclusively to carry in his own store of heavily curated cleaning products and if you know Matt, that says a lot. The Obsessed Garage name is VERY fitting for his whole operation. My experience using it: I had it assembled in under 5 minutes without any tools, which only involved installing the wheels, handle, hose, and gun. Everything snapped or screwed together easily and all the parts fit perfectly and without issue. I read the manual in about 2 minutes and was power washing within 15 minutes of opening the box. Using it is as easy as a garden hose and works great for the things I purchased it to do. To be clear, this is not going to remove years old stains on concrete or strip paint from old cars but it did make quick work of my pollen and bird poop stained deck, mud stained brick foundation, grass stained Cub Cadet riding mower, and the bug covered front grill on my car. The unit is light weight, rolls easy, and has a nice long power cord so maneuvering it around the yard was very easy and low impact. After 2 hours of work around my house everything is looking basically brand new. Seriously, the bang for the buck here is incredible. Putting it away was as simple as disconnecting the garden hose, running the motor for 30 seconds to spray out any leftover water inside it, and coiling up the power cord and sprayer hose. Build quality: This is a sturdy feeling machine. All the plastic is nice and thick, the handle is metal and extremely easy to attach/detach. I almost went with the K1800 for the folding handle but that’s really not a necessary feature since the handle on the K1700 can be removed in 10 seconds without tools by just pressing two spring-supported metal balls. While feeling well built, it weighs under 20lbs so you can easily pick it up (or roll it) without breaking a sweat. The garden hose attachment point is metal and Karcher includes a metal swiveling female-to-female adapter for that connection as well. The best thing about the K1700, and a major advantage over the K4 and K5, is that this unit uses industry standard M22 threads and 1/4” quick disconnects on the hose and spray gun. That means you can purchase any brand of hose, gun, attachments, nozzles, swivels, quick disconnects, etc. as you expand your setup. I went ahead and bought a MATCC foam cannon and a set of various spray pattern nozzles ($17), a 50’ hose ($24), a 180 degree swiveling quick disconnect ($12), and an assortment of stainless steel quick disconnects ($8). All of them fit perfectly and work great on the K1700 and with the new quick disconnects I can snap everything together in different combinations on the fly (without needing to turn off the machine) like Lego pieces. Con?: If I had to pick one shortcoming on this machine, and this is literally the only one I can think of, it’s that the hose is too short for car washing. I highly recommend picking up a 50ft hose along with the various quick disconnects needed so you could attach the two hoses together for a total of 75ft if needed. I found 50ft to be more than enough for washing 2 cars parked in the same driveway without needing to move the machine but having the option for 75ft will be perfect when I get on the roof to clean out the gutters. Conclusion: Overall I’m extremely happy with this purchase. It makes pressure washing so easy that I can’t wait for things to get dirty so I can have a reason to use it again. I’ve been spending $20-30 per month at the car wash so the K1700 should pay for itself in car wash savings alone over 4-5 months. That’s not even counting the gas or time I use to drive and wait in line at the car wash. Setting up, using, and putting away the K1700 is so quick and easy that I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this unit to anyone, young or old, as an around-the house pressure washer. Even if you have no interest in cleaning your home/deck, this makes car washes so easy (and FUN with the foam cannon) that anyone that likes to keep their vehicles clean should pick up one of these. I even caught my neighbor sneaking a peek out his front window when I was foaming my car and then grabbing his wife to show her how cool it was. Anyone that lives in a typical suburban middle class neighborhood knows the joy making the neighbors jealous!

Overall good enough to keep, but a few issues...
It was really hard to attach the handle to this pressure washer and I wish the handle was taller. The output hose is a bit short and it kinks a lot in a spiral. Hooks on the handles (for hanging things) appeared to separate easily early on. This is definitely a budget washer. I just wanted something for washing my car and for that purpose, it's working out well. The nozzles that come with it aren't good for the rinse, though. I use an "MTM Hydro Pro Premium 28 Special Spray gun and Foam Cannon kit" so I can't comment on the soap nozzle or detergent container system on this washer. I would have preferred a 40 degree nozzle instead of or in addition to the 15 degree. I now have to go buy a 40 degree, but even at an in-person store you can't buy anything less than a 3 pack of 40 degree 2 mm orifice nozzles. I'll end up buying an MTM multipack. It's very difficult to find the proper orifice nozzles for this. Speaking of that, Karcher support is really lacking. I called and their phone system has issues when you press "1" then "1" and it starts beeping as if the line is disconnected. I had to call several times to get through. I finally get someone and the lady has no idea what an orifice even is, and can't even pronounce the word. I asked about a 40 degree nozzle with a size 2 orifice and she told me there's a 5 pack. I asked her which 5 pack it is because I already saw the one in size 3.5. She also has problems listening because I said K1700 and she said I have a K1300. Anyways, after explaining to her how orifices work she told me that "the pump controls the pressure". She went on and on about how the different degree nozzles change the beam of water. Yes, idiot.. I'm aware. I call again to get someone else, who I told I have a k1700 and she asked me if it's gas. How do you not know your own products?!?!?!? Then she puts me on hold and I waited over 10 minutes without being checked on whatsoever. I decided to give up and just buy a multipack from MTM. So their support seems pretty awful just from this experience and there are a few gripes I have about the unit but overall I will keep it and it serves it's purpose for car washing.

You get what you pay for, does the job.
Works well for the price. the pressure hose is made of stiff plastic, and the soap dispenser only seems to work when the soap nozzle is used. Otherwise I like the turbo nozzle and find the pressure to be accurate. good little machine.

So in love
So I waited a little bit before I wrote a review. I wanted to use it a few times before I gave my honest opinion. I’m so in love with this pressure washer. My husband bought for me for my birthday and I cannot stop using it. I pressure washed the house the decks, cars and my green bin. It’s so easy to wheel around, even in grass. Easy to set up and easy to use. I have an injured right shoulder and it doesn’t keep me from being able to use this. Seriously if you want a pressure washer for around the house jobs this really is the one. Only tip I have to say but that goes with all pressure washers is to ensure your nozzles are clicked in properly. They shoot off like a cannonball lol
