Salt Cell Bypass/Winterization Kit - Pool Guy Supply

Recently bought this so I could winterize my pool for one. The second purpose to test my salt cell by using a bypass to make sure it was generating salt still after I cleaned it. This is all the parts you can buy from the hardware store. However, cost and price, this was already put together. It fit great, with excellent quality. The shipment of it to me was super fast!

I have an Excel Salt cell which is a Hayward T-15 knock off. Bypass fit perfectly. Save your cell during the winter!

I love this winter fill in conduit. I spent to much money on my Hayward salt cell system. To leave it outside once winter arrives. Did I say I love this product lol.

Replaces my IC40 perfectly. Had to tighten the fittings pretty well though or else I had water spraying out. I may have to use a oil filter wrench to get it off in the spring.Works great though. I didn’t have to use Teflon tape or anything, just tighten the fittings pretty well. Not sure why the threads are painted though. It starts to peel off once it’s installed and taken off the first time.Knocking off one star because it’s a bit pricey for it being just a pipe.

My salt cell is a Hayward AQRS340 and this bypass works perfect for winterizing!

Painting the threads on a plumbing part makes for a crappy fitting.

I wish I had bought this before my salt cell froze and cracked. 22 years in this house we never had the kind of hard freeze we got this year. Yes I could buy the parts to build this myself at the local hardware store but not for this price. Well worth it.
