The Incredible Dr. Pol Season 8

I absolutely love watching Dr Pol and his intrepid fellow vets running around Central Michigan. This show has something for every family member- they show enough of the diagnostic process and procedures to entertain me (Dad) without being too graphic, while my Daughter loves the animals.Dr Pol himself is a unique character- he's one of those people who you just want to be friends with instantly. Dr Brenda is a nice anodyne to him as she's very matter of fact but you can tell she loves animals. Dr Emily nicely balances the two others. The staff, Dr Pols wife Diane and his son Charles round things out. They are all good folks and they seem to have a very good time running their clinic and providing services to the pets and people.The only criticism is they tend to bring Charles in as comedic relief and this sometimes comes across as contrived. It's still fun, just somewhat stagey in tone.There's a fair bit of blood, and injured animals so if you are sensitive to those things, maybe skip. But otherwise, this is a show you can sit and watch as a family and nobody's going to be unhappy about it.I hope I am as spry as Dr Pol when I'm in my 70s.

Good quality DVD. Dr Pol is always fun to watch. He is an excellent representative for those who love animals and has helped re-ignite interest in veterinary medicine. I'm sure he has his critics but they don't hold a candle to the training, expertise and experience that Dr Pol has. Dr Pol is a very genuine man, sallt of the earth and engenders loyalty from his clients and avid TV watchers. He's also very funny in his own way, a kind and loving character. I hope he has many more seasons.

Right up there with James Herriot. Love watching the Pols. Only problem is that is does not have a menu to let you start the show on 1, 2, 3 etc. You have to fast forward all the way until you get to the place you left off. It doesn't even stop when you get to the end of one session. Shame on National Geographic. They should have done a better job.

There's only one thing to say about dr. Pol he is absolutely amazing if you like animals no matter what kind you should watch dr. Pol he has the experience and the caring and the know how how to treat an animal I wish I could find a doctor pole in my area

Very interesting, entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Always see something new and exciting.

Dr Poll and his family and staff are all great!!! I personally love watching the shows back to back, so buying the seasons and watching them in prime is a no brained for me.

I love this old fashioned family that works together reminding us what is really important in life. The wholesome values Dr. Pol exemplifies just makes you want to hold onto pets and treat them like tomorrow could be their last day. You just don't know what tomorrow will bring.
