Review: Decorative, well built & sturdy - The aviation themed bookends were packaged well and arrived undamaged. The model is a bronze-ish cast, artistic representation of a biplane with landing gear set on a wooden base, which may also be cast, painted to resemble darkly stained wood. The book end is heavy-ish, each base has four small vinyl or rubber pads on the bottom. The dark color scheme nicely highlights and complements my growing book collection. I'd buy another. These are quality made! My fiance absolutely loves them he has been smiling since receiving them. They have a weight to them and are sturdy enough to hold hard covered books.
