This adhesive rubber likely has many different applications. I needed something to help stop my Macbook air slide around. ... was driving me crazy when I would set it aside and it would slide around because of the very smooth bottom side. I simply wiped the bottom of the Macbook with some alcohol, cut this sheet in half, and then applied it best I could. The laptop is now locked in place wherever I place it.

I bought this to put on the back of a set of shelves with very strong magnetic panels, so that it wouldn't scratch the paint on my refrigerator. It's thin, and easy to cut and apply. It did not reduce the magnetic hold of the shelf unit by any significant amount. I am still able to safely use the shelves for large bottles of oil and other supplies. I tried to use this for smaller magnets of about 1 inch in diameter. This was less successful: the magnets, which are very strong, lost the ability to hold anything heavy. They are rated for 7 pounds, but with this silicone they wouldn't even hold a single pound especially well. I know nothing about how expensive it is to manufacture this kind of product so, while it feels pretty expensive to me, I can't evaluate the value. I do know that it's money well spent to preserve my appliances, so Im pleased with my purchase.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Sticks well and thin. Using for scar therapy and found it useful for covering keyboard keys that are chipping (thanks Alienware for producing such poor quality prodocts!!!)l

Super sticky, measure well if you get it stuck in place, moving it is a trial, see picture 2. And cutting after removing the backing is a hot mess. That’s the learning curve. That said I shouldn’t have to worry about it coming off or slipping. I used this as a cover for the buttons on my refrigerator and dishwasher. These buttons are constantly being pushed and over time they crack. So I bought this to put over the top of the buttons to keep the cracking from happening. I looked for the thinnest product I could find and its still fairly thick, see pic 1. I think it should hold up well. I still need to smooth out some bubbles (pic 2) but overall I think this is going to be perfect. It hasn’t affected the use of the buttons at all. Cleaning should be easy.

I used this to stick onto my Karting gloves to increase my grip on the steering wheel, and it works very nicely. They are staying attached for the most part, but I will probably need to stick down the edges with fabric glue.

Keeps my cabinet from getting hot over the coffee maker.
