I was recommended to get it because of my flaking nails and a hair condition.Also it is well known to lower down the BP.After one week of intake (in the morning for the empty stomach 30 min before the meal),I've noticed that my nails are getting much healthier look: they became shiny, stopped flaking and began to grow faster.I didn't notice BP going lower yet, so I am still takin my BP medications.But just for the healthy nail I could recommend.I was told it should be taken once a day during two months period with a break for two or three months afterto exclude copper deficiency in the body.

Easy to swallow

I had developed white ridges on my fingernails (often caused by a zinc deficiency) which went away after using one of these tablets a day. I cut them in half and take 1/2 with breakfast and dinner. Be careful because too much zinc will throw off balances with copper.This particular product is currently recommended by Consumer Lab, which seals the deal for me.

While the dosage on the bottle does clearly states that the dosage is one pill per day, I feel it needs to also provide a warning that going over that dosage can lead to crossing the maximum daily dosage limit of 40mg, especially when this is an extremely bioavailable formulation.Taking more than 40mg of zinc per day can lead to severe side effect like headaches that can grow to full migraine strength. I can also take weeks for the body to adequately clear this metal enough to reduce the side effects.
