I use to use old Chevy car hood spring to give my porch swing a soft ride. But these worked just as well. the old Chevy springs are hard to find anymore. The only issue i had with these springs were the hook needed to be close up more so they would stay hooked on the chain and not hurt someone getting rough on the swing. Easy fix, I clamped them in a vice to close up the hook more. Works well! Ride not as good as the Chevy but ok, satisfies us! Good Job!

They are great porch swing springs, if you bounce just right you can get your girls to bounce perfectly.

Easy to install. Although I haven't yet installed additional safety chain per the instructions we haven't had any issues. The springs make our porch swing more comfortable, I was worried about them being too stiff as the most weight they see is two 140 pound adults but they ended up working out well.

Bought these to go along with heavy duty black chains for our porch swing. Great set of springs adds a nice level of comfort when swinging even with three people on a 5' swing.

The other reviews were right. These spring provide the just right amount of action. They do not stretch out of shape or are so firm they don't even give. Don't settle for the less expensive springs.

Used on porch swing, works great. Not necessary to have a spring for a porch swing, but it adds that little touch when getting into the seat that is noticeable. Worth it in my opinion.

These springs are rated at 600 lbs each and I used two of them for my porch swing, 1200 lbs total. One the second day two people who both weigh 200 lbs or less were sitting on the swing which weighs approximately 250 lbs, total of less than 650. The spring stretched, yielded and did not return to normal. I have since purchased another brand of springs and will see how that goes.

I use these on my parents hammock with a hammock stand there absolutely wonderful definitely withhold the weight of a full-grown 6-foot man and his wife
