Will kids be able to pull on the fibers and try to eat them?

Probably, but that's with any rug. I can tell you one thing the rug is not as pictured. I ordered the gray for my granddaughter's nursery, it's very cheap looking, and more of a dark gray in person, and the fibers don't stay fluffy!

Diameter and circumference refers to anything circular in measurement, so I’m not quite sure what u mean. However, when it comes to rectangular measurements or I should say linear, it’s Length x width x height. Depending on how u look at it the 4ft could be the width or length.
