Bossman Relaxing Beard Balm for Men (Hammer Scent) - Made in Texas

I purchased the BOSSMAN Relaxing beard Balm—Magic scent. First off, I’m not a fan of the scent. To me it smells like limes. But I do not even care. What IS magical is how this product works. I am 63 and I have a very coarse beard. My beard is on the thicker side, shaped and well groomed. Since it’s coarse grey, the hairs pop every which way but loose. I have a vey thick stache. I was using Bossman’s MUDStache wax to tame my stache. I saw that the Relaxing Beard Balm could also be used on staches. So I gave it a try… works in a different way to tame the out of control stache hairs. MUDStache is top tier, though! Overall, the beard balm gives my beard incredible control and puts the styling in my power. It gives my thick beard and stache such incredible body and overall fullness. I absolutely hate a greasy feeling on my face. This may seem greasy when you touch it… but it absolutely does not make the beard or face greasy. That was my biggest concern. The beard feels soft yet controlled. So instead of a frizzed up out of control mess this humid summer, I have this well styled and soft to the touch full bodied beard. My beard looks so healthy and feels incredible. I am inching my way through BOSSMAN products. They are phenomenal and reasonably priced. The magic is not in the scent… it is in how this product makes your beard feel and look. I am so in awe by what it makes my beard look and feel like… that I don’t even notice the lime scent. Would I purchase this particular product again? 100% yes! I wish I could give this product review more than 5 stars. This is a must buy product if you want your beard to look and feel top tier!

I've had a beard for over four years now. I haven't tried a lot of products, because when I find a product that works, I generally stay with it. It was time to reorder beard oil and balm. This time, I decided to branch out and try something else. Wow! Am I glad that I did! This set is amazing! The Gold Scent is mild and lasts decently, but far from overpowering. It smells good on its own, and its mild enough that I think it wouldn't interfere with cologne. The Jelly goes in smooth and evenly. It's best to go light with it, then add a drop more if needed. A little does a lot. I have a medium sized beard and a nickel sized amount does the job. Same with the balm: I use the back of my thumbnail to scoop out about a nickel sized amount then warm by rubbing it in my palms. IT MELTS EASILY!!!! Surprisingly easily. I had heard others say that it was hard. In the tin, it's slightly harder than Honest Amish, but not by much, and it melts easier than HA. Bossman Balm is the bomb! (facepalm). It softens and it truly relaxes my beard. I have a curly beard, so I need it to relax! Adds pretty good control and hold as well. Balms aren't really meant for a lot of hold because that would stiffen your beard. This adds just the right amount of hold to control those fly-aways while allowing me to shape/mold/style my beard perfectly. I've only had this set for a couple of days, so I've only used the conditioner once. It really really softens my beard a lot! I know I'm only supposed to use it twice per week, so that's what I will do, but man, I really want to use it CONSTANTLY! All in all, I say this is a GREAT set for anyone's beard. I chose the Gold Scent and can't be happier. It's a bit woodsy and doesn't smell strong at all. BOSSMAN: Please add the Jelly Scent Sampler to the Amazon store! I ordered it from your website and it made choosing my scent so easy! It was worth the $5 for sure. My wife thanks you for having that, because I almost ordered the Magic which she didn't care for as much. $5 is a great price, but the shipping... just add it to Amazon so people can take advantage of their Prime free shipping. Your customers will thank you and everyone will get to really narrow their search for the perfect scent for them (which would also benefit the company... fewer "wrong scent for me" complaints)! Yep you rad it right! And NO my wife does not have any facial hair, read on. Last month I decided I was going to take my facial hair game to the next level, specifically, I wanted and was ready to grow a Yeard. After watching so many videos, I felt I knew what was needed to have the best chances of a nice healthy beard. The Bossman products I am no stranger to, I have used there mustache max when I had a handlebar, but I was not familiar with any other products. Boy do they have a bunch. After looking over all the options I was very interested in trying the Jelly solution. Conditioner I understand, and the balm I also understand, but Jelly? I decided to order the 3 pack giving my all the needed items, besides the soap, to get this beard off and growing healthy. Yeah guys, it does take some care to have a nice healthy beard. I was pleased that even in the middle of a package shipping crisis my items arrived not not time, but early. So there is 5 stars for shipping and handling! Once I opened the products, I had to give them a smell. WOW, I liked it. This wasn't filled with all the strong perfume scents like SO MANY OTHERS add to their products. Actually after looking over the ingredient list, I am overly pleased to see the items involved in making such a nice smelling product for guys. 5 stars on Scent. Next came trying it out. I got into the shower and used the conditioner on my face ...... let it sit for 2 minutes and rinsed. OMG, what a difference. Guys, your beard isn't suppose to feel like a Brillo pad, or sandpaper. Ask your significant others and they will tell ya the biggest complaint is how it feels. The Bossman conditioner really softened the hairs up, and again with out all that smelly stuff. ( You know what I'm talking about ) 5 stars Conditioner. Now it was time for the Jelly! Make sure to give this a really hard and vigiours shake. At first it didn't move, but I then could hear it start to shake up inside. it is in a bottle with a point nozzle. All ya need is a Pea sized amount, work it in your hands to warm up, and rub all over that facial hair. Once I worked it in, I could instantly see my beard start to...shine?! Look healthy! I used my brush and brushed it through. No need to wash out, let your beard absorb all that natural goodness. 5 Stars for Jelly The balm was the same experience as above, it is just more like a wax, and really helps with the training of hairs and styling. Even if its just to get those PITA little hairs to lay down. 5 Stars for Balm. So, what about my wife? Well after arriving home she INSTANTLY noticed something different about me. And then she said, what is that smell?!?!?! Is that your beard!?! Why yes it is! She made her way to the bathroom, opened the Balm and was pleasantly surprised. She has been on the receiving end of a smooch when I had some other company's products on...and she nor I could really handle the oder. When I explained the process above to her, she was impressed....and then it happened. I left the room and when I returned SHE WAS USING MY Bossman Balm?!?! HOW, Why WHAT? My wife got thinking and decided to try it on her "fly aways" she gets when she puts braids in her hair.....and she loved it! I didn't give this much thought until I noticed this to be a daily use. MY BALM! So I figured out a nice easy solution to our issue, grab her one of her very own! Thanks from the Blue family for taking care of all our ...Hair needs!

The balm is great. The sent is nice but depending on you might be a bit stronger than like a vanilla . Overall I love though.

I have on & off grown my beard to different lengths or had a goatee. I used to keep it to a rather short length because every time I tried to keep it at a more substantial length, I started to get flaky skin or dandruff (that I dislike and am sure most people agree with me). So to get more to the point, I started looking into skincare products & beard care products. I had a rather good experience with a few skincare products but kept having problems with my beard. I tried Initiative Citrus Aroma beard balm (by: Can You Handelbar) with their horsehair brush. The brush I love, the balm... Not so much, not very citrus-y & after about a day it starts to stink (in my opinion). I then turned to Beard Butter General's Blend (by: Bearded Soldier), that I really like the scent of & it works wonders for my skin and flakiness/dandruff. The only complaint if at all with it is that it does not tame my beard as much as I would like. So I looked at reviews of Bossman products & decided to give them a go. I would like to begin by saying that I am rather glad I did try them out. I went for the Beard Kit (Beard Oil, Conditioner & Balm) in the Magic Scent. When my order arrived the Bossman products were very securely packed in a separate; almost if not totally airtight package inside of a larger box with other items I ordered from Amazon. So if I think of some other reviews about other products I looked at on Amazon that I saw coming to people having leaked out & into or onto other items in an order, this should not be a problem in my opinion with the Bossman products. Nice touch Bossman. At first impression of the scent, I was slightly unsure I had made the correct decision, but after having used the products, asked others around me of their opinion plus getting compliments on the scent, I am rather happy with the scent. If I had to be super critical, I might like a hint more vanilla scent, but that is just my personal preference & in no way diminishes from the way it smells as is. I started off trying out the Beard Oil (Jelly) & yes it is WAY more gel or jelly like than any other beard oil I have looked at or used. For me I am greatly liking this feature, it makes it less messy and more user friendly. It also seems to be absorbed fairly well after a little while, of course depending on the amount you use & how well you rub it into your beard. On the third day I used both the conditioner & balm as well as the Oil/Jelly. I took a shower & tried out the conditioner while I was at it. The scent is rather strong for a conditioner but pleasant so I did not mind. I was a little sceptical of the conditioner when I made the initial purchase on Amazon but figured why not give it at least a try. I also was slightly surprised at how small the bottle is. Now, I have tried all kinds of regular store bought conditioners on my hair & beard but let me tell you straight off the bat that this is NOT your average conditioner. Wow did this surprise me in a good way. After putting a small amount in my hands & rubbing together and massaging into my beard it was like I could almost "feel" it working. I must admit that this is the most "feel" I have ever felt from any conditioner in my life & after the shower I am positive that a great deal of the scent of the conditioner lingered in my beard. Trust me, I did rinse thoroughly. Bossman state that this conditioner is to be used only two times per week so perhaps they have made it so intensive that it really REALLY works. Perhaps I may becoming a believer in conditioner, specifically this one. I would however greatly like to see the conditioner in a container at least twice this size available. After the shower in which I used the conditioner, I then went on to using the beard oil/jelly. After it had been absorbed for a little while I then tried out the balm. It smells nice and does melt into a much more manageable form after being rubbed vigorously between your hands/fingers. I rubbed this through my beard, let it absorb a bit & then combed through using a beard brush I have and I must say that I was quite impressed with how much brighter, younger and healthier my beard looked. I have dark brown hair verging on black & I am starting to get a bit of grey hair at my age and I am sure that this not only makes the dark brown look blacker (something I like & consider a plus) but also makes the grey look better (I did not think that I would ever say that my grey hair looks good, who would have thought). I would not go so far as to say this balm works like a wax but it definitely tames my beard better than many other products I have used. It could of course also be a combination of using all products together. I seldom write reviews but with these products being of such high quality & a pleasant surprise, I felt that I had to give praise to the Bossman. Overall in almost every way I am very satisfied with my purchase, the products and their usability. To Bossman: Keep up the good work and high standard you have on your products. P.S. If made available, I would definitely purchase a kit or package deal on test size (very small) beard oil/jelly in all scents available so as to better be able to decide on what scent to go with on your products.

So I ordered this product from Amazon, and it was intended to be delivered on Monday, yet USPS decided to be unusually efficient and deliver on Saturday when I happened to be out of town. During the holidays though everything has been so crazy they've been hiring new temp drivers and service has been getting rough. The person that delivered the package decided to be scared of dogs and took advantage of the rule that says they don't have to deliver if there is a dog within 25 feet, but they didn't want to have to come back again so they just tossed the package and my mail in the yard. The normal mail lady gives my dog treats which is the only reason he rushes the mail car, eagerly awaiting his treat, which this time just ended up being my package. USPS would do nothing since it wasn't ensured, Amazon would only fix it if I could return the product, but the dog carried it off somewhere and only left the empty box. Bossman sent me a follow up email with thanks and that they were giving 10% off coupon for follow up orders. I sent them a reply saying thanks I was going to need it with a brief overview on why. I was clear it wasn't their problem, and never expected them to do anything. BUT they completely replaced the order for me. WOW, not their problem but they fixed it. Now I was excited to get the product. If it was only half as good as their service I was excited. I got the product in the mail. I normally have a very wirey beard. It takes me a lot of work with other products to get my beard even manageable. Normally I only take showers in the evening because my beard is so unmanageable if I don't also sleep on it for one night. The other products I never really enjoyed the scent either. I would have their oil, balm, and heavy hold wax and still struggled. But NOT with Bossman. First of all, they have the conditioner, that stuff works really well and I've tried a lot of different hair conditioners, this stuff is definitely special. Next, you have their Jelly this stuff is like the oil and the balm from other competitors wrapped together but much much better. My beard was pretty soft and workable at this point, amazingly so. But even then with the difficulty with my beard I still had some fly aways so I decided to work the balm. This balm is similar to the competitors wax, initially at least, but then it is much more workable than that. In my hand it breaks down to spread like a balm but provides control like a wax. Amazing. The craziest part is no matter what I've ever tried, by the end of the day my beard is dry and wirey again, not with Bossman, my beard is soft and comfortable. And every day I use their products the better it seems to get. I wasn't sure about the magic scent at first, my wife loved it right off the bat though. I liked it better than the competitor default scent I was used to, but the more I use it the more it grows on me. I really enjoy the scent now, and my wife still likes it so it all works out. If you have a difficult beard that needs help, give Bossman a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

My beard has never been tamed so easily. I've kept my beard to a short goat for many years. Any time I tried to let it grow, it became too strong and fought for dominance over my face. It was curly, wavy, unruly, and grew in all directions. I was far too weak to fight it. Recently, I decided to try and grow it out. I went through many products to try and quell it's bloodlust over my bare skin, but most could only hold the line against an overwhelming force; all were easily defeated. Thankfully, I discovered Beard Jelly; it gave me the strength of Grayskull (which is odd considering Prince Adam was clean shaven). Maybe it came from his battle cat. As soon as I started using the nectar called Jelly, my beard calmed itself in it's own serenity. It found joy in the relaxing hydration I now gave it. It even gained extra length from 4cm to 5 (25% gain? I'm not math, but it sounds right), and also grew in volume. My beard found new strength in tranquility; more than it ever had in its previous violent rage. But, seriously, this product has been great. I apply in the morning, after washing twice a week (with the fortifying conditioner), and before bed. Before bed has really shined; morning maintenance has become much easier and quicker. My beard has been fuller and straighter with much less effort. And the Magic scent has been great. Scent is subjective; not everyone is going to like it. My experience has been great. I enjoy it, and have received many a complement for it. It also lasts all day. One application in the morning still resonates when getting drinks after a 10-hour shift in the kitchen; I'm very impressed by that. I have seen a few reviews that have complained that the scent is too strong. I will admit: I was worried on my first application due to how strong it was; but, once it set (after about 10 minutes), it mellowed out nicely. Some might be using too much (I use less than a pea sized amount for myself, and I've seen some impressive beards use not much more than that... i.e. say a nickel sized dollop if you play guitar for ZZ Top). One unexpected benefit from the Jelly (and the balm, oddly enough) is that I've noticed a drastic difference in the dryness of my hands. Both the balm and Jelly feel more like lotions, than they do oil and wax (which is what you usually get), and I was surprised to find it wasn't just a feeling. My hands have had less dryness and cracking since I've been using them. Could be just me, but it has been a noticeable difference. Back to the subjective nature of scents: I've spoken with the company (trying to order a non-existent sampler [hey, doesn't hurt to ask]) and I was told if I'm ever not completely satisfied with the scent, that my order would be replaced with another set, easy peasy. It wasn't until I was writing this review, and checking my sources and correspondence, that I realized that all my e-mails had been with the founder of the company. He was the one who sent me the initial follow-up e-mail prior to my purchase, and has been corresponding with me since; I think that says a lot about this company. All in all: I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I couldn't be happier with the company. Took my beard from Cringer to Battle Cat!

I have to admit, even after using once my beard felt softer and looked more managable (super curly normally) but the scent was way too strong for me and lasted for a long time.

Yip it's ok, very nice on beard and skin,it's a solid block that turns to liquid with the heat of your hands . Hold is ok too

Love the bossman products,incredible quality and functionality. Originally bought stage coach. Great sent. Wanted to switch it up Abita. All the youtube reviews said it smelt like a mens barbershop, like aftershave, or shaving cream.... so I bought it. Unfortunetly it smells very citrus, which is the opposite of what I wanted.. Great product but if you don't want citrus face, choose a different flavor.

Came in the mail today and the jelly beard oil was open and leaked everywhere. The conditioner had a safety seal that looked open and the oil didn't even have one. Almost looks like I got someone's returned order.
