Great quality!
Aquaman is underrated asf and he doesn’t have a lot of Great runs over at DC and he doesn’t get the love he deserves! I love the silver age of DC comics the stories are most fantastical this is a must get for Aquaman fans!

Aquaman at the turn of the '70s
Comics were undergoing immense changes as the calendar flipped from the '60s to the '70s. And the Sea King changed along with the times, in this excellent adventures with art by Jim Aparo. Bonus: tie-in back-up features starring (of all unlikely heroes) Deadman, drawn by Neal Adams! The deluxe edition includes background pieces on how these magnificent issues came to by. True, DC could never rival Marvel in this era, but these Aquaman episdoes come awfully close!

Cool throwback book
Very good art and short stories. A nice throwback to a much simpler time and life. Worth the read. Aparos art was great as always.

Experimentation Leads to One of the Best Runs of Classic Aquaman
As Skeates explains in the afterword, this collection makes room for lots of experimentation for Aquaman!Honestly in the best way, it's the best breath of fresh air Aquaman has had in years by the time the character reaches this point!Aquaman starts to stand for more than what he did finally, a lot of what modern Aquaman audiences would know him by more!Given Skeates conservative status quo politics of the last collection, this socially and environmentally conscious turn is all the more inspired of a pivot!Aparo gets to experiment too with wordless panels and new universe concepts for Aquaman to swim through in a bizarre alien way, to list just some examples!
