Very well made and wonderful value

So I'm very new to the wood lathering hobby and decided to take a chance with this faceplate. When I first received it I noticed how well it is made. It was heavy and extremely sturdy crafted from a single piece steel. When I mounted it, I noticed the faceplate was very well balanced as well. Overall, very satisfied with this product and the price point.

Accurate unit

Positive feature is that the machining appears very true, and the face plate is definitely flat and perpendicular to the threaded shank. This is the second one I bought. We live in a Resort which has a very nice woodshop. I like having my own lathe flange, as occasionally I need to bring my work home with more lathe work to do later, and remounting could result in some mis-alignment. The only negative I have is that the steel is not plated. I'm getting some surface rust on my earlier unit. Still fully functional, but not as neat.
