This Jumbo Silk Sari Stuffed Elephant is sewn together by women in Southern India and stands approximately 8 inches tall by 10 inches long. The stuffed animal is made from beautiful strips of fabric originally from an Indian Sari. A Sari is the traditional dress for women in the region, and is worn by wrapping the long cloth around the waist then draping the uniquely embroidered and stitched edge of the fabric around the shoulder. The elegant cloths on the elephant give it a classy look and the patchwork combinations make each elephant as unique as the artisan who sewed it. Because of the unique fabrics used in this product, no two items are identical. The items are grouped by primary colors but we cannot guarantee an exact match to any photo.

This elephant is much prettier in person!! It is beautifully sewn and the fabric selections are rich and well-coordinated. Elephant has a thicker black embroidery thread for the eye detail and a matching braided tail that give this elephant full character!You can also feel good that this purchase supports and empowers women via the Fair Trade employment initiative mentioned + they repurpose fabric that might otherwise go to a landfill. So Beautiful and so well made... !Wonderful craftsmanship.......!The Colors are so rich .... Makes you want more colors ...!
