Absolutely adorable and a ton of handmade love put into it
This doll is incredibly sweet and an unbeatable price for what is clearly hand painted. The finish is flat, not semi gloss or gloss, which lends to the handcrafted feel. You can feel the texture of the paint. Not all dolls fit snugly (so the top and bottom part when lifted), but all seams and paint are flawlessly matched. Better to be loose than too snug to pull apart. These dolls are notoriously tricky in that regard -- especially with time and humidity. I purchased this as a gift to a little girl whose mother is dying to help her hold the beauty of the concept of many generations -- older ones passing and new ones yet to arrive. Sadly, her mother is being taken prematurely by cancer. Thank you to the artist who spent so much time crafting this special gift. Your work is treasured.

Old toy but a great toy

Pretty but small size doll is brittle
Love that they're hand painted! Sadly the second smallest one has fallen apart. Thin enough that it split easily.

Well made. Beautifully painted -
I had a few nesting dolls in my cart. I decided to pull the trigger on an animal one and this one. The animal nesting dolls we had to send back because me and my husband couldn’t even take it apart! This set is soo perfect! Well made- easy for little hands and it has 10 dolls! Just when you think you’ve gotten to the smallest one-it keeps going. Highly recommend !!

LOW QUALITY
Only the first five dolls look decent. The smallest of the dolls are poorly painted and frustrating to manipulate:( I bought for my granddaughter and threw the 5 smallest dolls away because they were so poorly made. I would be happy to pay more for better quality.

I got this spontaneously for my two year old and OMG who knew this would be one of those toys that keeps her entertained day after day. It is the perfect size for small hands and easy to take apart and put back together. Good quality and hasn’t chipped although put through rough and tumble of toddlerhood Another kudos to Amazon for having this in stock! None of my local Polish/Russian stores had babushkas in store
