Round Fire Pit Burner

We bought a house with a large (approx. 4' x 5') wood-burning fire pit that has a natural gas starter. We never burned wood in it, and it was awfully deep, so we decided to convert it to a gas fire pit. I disconnected the gas starter burner, added an extension pole, and filled the fire pit with rocks and sand to raise the level.Installed this 36" gas ring was a breeze: Install the plug on the top, and in my case, install the reducer bushing to fit a 1/2" pipe.After lighting it is when I realized that my gas line is under-sized for this large of a ring. The flames burn only 3-4 inches high, and are easily blown out by a stiff breeze. From what I can tell, it is all 1/2" line running to the fire pit (because they never intended that to be the primary fuel source) and unfortunately that's not easily changed since it's built in to the masonry and buried underground.So I'll live with it, and it still provides nice ambiance. Just understand that you really need good throughput for your gas if you want to light this large ring with a powerful flame.

Does a very good job at producing flame. Made my fire pit instantly better. Very easy to Mount. Definitely would reccomend.

We built a 34" slumpstone enclosure for our new firepit and I tried to do a lot of research to make sure we had the biggest, baddest fire around. We had run a dedicated 1" gas line back to the pit, so I wanted to make sure we had the highest capacity available.My thought was that you can always turn it down, but you can't "enbiggen" an anemic fire ring. We downsized to a 3/4" line for the valve and kept that size right to the ring.Here is one photo (under an easy breeze) with the fire-pit at a normal height, with another photo maxed out Yes that is flame in the upper right corner, not photo magic - It is a thing of beauty). At max settings it is very impressive, and also very hot. Not the best time to test your firepit with a hot-dog cookout, but we managed it. Hot dogs roast impressively over this full flame. Fun for the whole family if you can withstand the heat.The second photo is turned down a bit and looks great. Can't think of a complaint about this ring - but I do have one comment; under a breeze and at low gas output the flames can blow out and do not self light. This is logical and doesn't bother me in the slightest. Just turn it up a bit more and you won't have an issue.Would buy again in a heartbeat.

love it works great and an even fire

Great price and great product. It does exactly what it’s suppose to do and easy to install. I used an 18 inch ring in a 33in fire pit and it’s perfect. I originally bought a 24 inch but the flame was too close to the edges especially if there is any wind. I installed this one and it worked like a charm.Side note for anyone who happens to be connecting it to a propane tank- go buy a HIGH pressure regulator, you have more freedom to make the flame higher or lower. Low pressure regulators (like on bbqs) don’t have enough psi to give a good flame.

Made my own propane fire pit for camping when there is a fire ban.This really did the trick, not too big as to burn as to burn through all my propane in one night.Good looking fire with a few lava rocks to disperse the flames.If it breaks I'll update the review.Had a bit of a snafu with shipping, it disappeared for a month , then it just showed up.but that isn't really part of the product.Camping without a fire isn't the same. Me and my crew are real happy with this work around.

Bought this to replace our old fire pit ring which was not working and holes were not submitting gas through so we purchased this ring, works better than the one we had in fire pit. Great product. Great price. Highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  Great design. Depending on your application, setup is easy or hard.I’m doing a retrofit on an old fire pit. The pit is deep so I needed to mount the ring to the bottom. With the air mixer the stack got a bit tall.I’d like to fill this in but it will take 40lbs of lava rock. I’ll come up with something though.

so far it is doing what i expect .we will see how it holds up after the winter season i will give 5 stars when spring comes if theres no problems

This worked out well. I went from a single burner to a double burner and the flame is much better
