Waste of money
This is only the shell, its not the thermometer. They need to make that more clear. Waste of money.

Does What It's Supposed to and Looks Cute
My husband thinks some baby products I buy are completely ridiculous, but he agrees with me that this one is great!! Our daughters room has 3 exterior walls and we discovered this winter that the room just doesn't stay warm enough (we added an extra vent return- problem solved). I purchased this to help me monitor the temperature in there and, what can I say, it does what it's supposed to and looks cute in a baby's room. I like that the display changes colors to indicate different temperature ranges- it allows me to glance at it from the hallway and know whether it's too hot or cold. I would buy it again, and would probably even buy it as a baby gift because I think it's something a lot of new parents don't think about until you need it (at least I didn't, besides how many more baby outfits can you really get haha).

Not what I thought I was buying
This is a thermometer cover for a Grow-Egg. I thought I was buying a thermometer with a cover. It's cute, and probably fits well over a Grow-Egg, but it sure doesn't give the temperature.

The owl is cute, however, we did not ...
The owl is cute, however, we did not realize it did not come with the bottom base. We were under the assumption it came complete with both the owl shell and temp base. Did not know we had to order both separately. :(

Peace of mind
I purchased this hoping to use it as a nightlight. It wasn't bright enough for the nursery so I returned it. THEN I realized that my nursery was a vastly different temp than my downstairs where the thermostat is and I couldn't sleep until I got the Grow Egg back so I knew my baby was getting "optimum sleep temperature".The product itself works very well. You can plug it in and it softly glows yellow, orange or red. I keep this very close to my baby right now and the light is so dim it never affects her sleeping. The colors are based on what the temperature is, orange being good for baby to be comfy and sleep well, yellow meaning it's a touch chilly and red meaning it's hot. This egg has eased my worries about my baby being too hot/cold allowing me to sleep peacefully (for 2 hours at a time...)My only qualm is I wish it had the time on it and that is why it got 4 stars rather than 5.

No toggle between F° to C°
This unit has no toggle to change display from F° to C° like any thermometer making it useless for me, therefore I dot no reccomend this product.

Super cute addition
This isn't necessary for the Gro-Egg but it's a cute addition. The light still comes through the cover brightly. You do have to push it down rather forceful, but once it's on, it's on. At first it is going to see like it doesn't fit, but if you push down, it will fit over the light area pretty snug.

Complete rip off
Item showed up with sticky brown liquid all over the packaging and it’s only a shell. There is no thermometer. To top it off the thermometer is unavailable. This item is not worth $50 CAN it’s worth maybe $4.00. Incredibly disappointing.

Such a rip off for what it is!
When I bought this item the title of it was worded differently and looked as though it came with the gro egg.. I literally paid £30 for a cover that’s more money than it costs for the actual gro egg itself!! It’s a flimsy piece of plastic too how you can justify that price is beyond me.
