After trying several lids to find one that is leak-proof, I would say this lid is the winner. I have had no problems with any leaks or spills. A little hint, when you pour in your hot coffee, leave the lid window open to let some of the steam out, so the lid will seat properly on the tumbler (so heat and pressure doesn't push it up). Once you see the lid is seated on the tumbler, close the window and you will be leak free. Only set back on this is the cleaning part. Coffee gets under the window and difficult to clean out. I soak it in soapy water then rinse, that's the best I can do.

I would actually only put like a 4.5 on leak proof. My lid is leak proof buy my girlfriends has a slight leak. We switched. Works on mine. Has impressive gasket . Heavy duty. And the plastic is thick.

I love this lid. There was an extra YETI cup at work that didn't have a lid and I was told I could have it. I looked at different lids to fit the cup and finally decided to go with this one. I have been impressed with it so far. My 14 month old constantly steals my drinking cups so I usually put most of my drinks in a closed lid tumbler. When she drops the cup, the lid not only stays on but keeps the contents from spilling all over the place. It has done a great job with helping to keep contents cold when the tab is closed. My only complaint is there is not a small air hole to keep from creating a vacuum while drinking straight from the cup. This is not a major deal because I have a 14 month old and if she takes a drink I don't have to worry about the beverage spilling all over the front of her!

the one part of this lid that I despise is you can not wash underneath the sliding open and closed piece of the lid coffee gets under there and I can not get it super clean! So I submerge it in hot, soapy water with a little bit of bleach to try to sanitize it the best that I can. Other than that, this lid is amazing. And I absolutely love my cup, it keeps my coffee hot for a long time. It's my only cup that still works, I've bought 10 hydro flasks, and eventually they stopped working, but so far, my yeti is going strongstrong and that is why I'm willing to tolerate going the extra step to try to get the inside of that lid clean. It would be fantastic if the company could come up with some sort of a brush that could slide up there.

The slide design I don’t like. If you like milk in your coffee it gets pretty yucky. The slide piece is a pain to remove to clean under. Does what it’s supposed to. No leaking and I use it on a different brand cup

This fit my tumbler perfect. The only problem is they are very hard to clean, that is how I broke my first one to begin with

This is the best cap/lid for a Yeti, Tervis, or any generic hot/cold tumbler. The way the mouth piece is designed, I never have spillage when drinking, and it seals solidly onto the various tumblers. I do have one issue because I have a couple of these lids, and although I was them fairly immediately after use, coffee does tend to stain the opening switch on the lid
