Trying to be positive but ....
I can't remember ever having bought a book of any type that I was so disappointed with. The idea is to give an outline of the history of the NSE by captioning photographs of the scale models of the various contributors. There are 21 sections of various locomotives that ran under Network SouthEast livery. The book is only 100 pages long and no few than sixteen are dedicated to 1 model, the class 47. Amazingly 5 of the pages are completely blank with a note to the effect that permission for using photos of models they didn't jointly own could not be obtained from the manufacturers. With a couple of notable exceptions the quality of the photographs is mediocre at best. Most lack the definition required to be able to study them meaningfully, being either too dark or lacking sharpness.I'm very sorry to say that in my view this is an extremely poor value for money publication.

Good size too A4 not the usual small pocket A5 ...
What a smashing book for only £9.99. Good size too A4 not the usual small pocket A5 size.Lots of very interesting NSE model shots, some quite atmospheric.A true bargain for anybody interested in NSE and/or model railways.Well Done.
