A must have if you buy a King antennae
I used this to cover the hole from my old crank up antennae. I mounted the King Omnidirectional antennae. (Black) The fit is good and they give you the fasteners to mount the antennae to it. You through bolt the antennae to it. Be aware that you must first install the antennae wire to the antennae through the slot that is in the antennae base. Apply the sealant to fill the slot and then all around the base of the antennae. This is the messy part. I had the antennae upside down to do this. Put the fasteners through the holes and put on the nuts. tighten down with a Phillips screwdriver and small crescent wrench. You have to drill the holes in the plate to mount this to the roof first. I put holes in the corners and then two on each side. I used stainless spax screws #6 by 3/4 to fasten this all down after applying sealant to the base of the plate all around. Screw it down, clean it up and then finish with a tube of lap seal to cover all the edges of the antennae and the plate. Apply lap seal to all fasteners. Nice job and very sturdy.

TV Reception after installation was excellent.
Having an installation video was really helpful in the installation of this antenna. I installed it on my Class C Motorhome. I purchased a tube of butayl chalk and I put it on heavy to prevent any leaks.

Made mounting much easier
We didn't want to drill new holes in our fiberglass roof, so we used a 3M epoxy type tape and then dicored it down. Worked like a charm. This plate covered the old holes well.

Great antenna
Replaced an old batwing antenna with this. Picked up 35 channels, more than I ever did with the old one. If youโre going to DIY, watch the youtube videos (there are several) on how to do the installation. It will probable take longer to remove the old antenna and caulking than to install the new one. Also recommend getting the adapter plate so it covers all the old holes

Worked great
After I had removed the old antenna and cleaned up the sealer on the roof I laid the mounting plate on the roof in the install position. I then outlined it with a sharpy pen on the roof. That made it very simple to put the sealer on the roof just inside of the line and it also lined the hole in the roof to put the cable in. I then installed the antenna on the roof plate , put a heavy bead of sealer on the roof just inside the outline and mounted the plate to the roof with self drilling screws. When every thing was screwed down tight I then run another bead of sealer around the plate and screws.
